The oul 36 there was always a lovely grunt to them I remember when I was growing up I used to call them the big Deere and nowadays there seen as a small tractor 😅

I am in the same county as you and the weather is unreal but that means very dry dusty grass and that dry chaff and hot machinery can end up in a fire we don't see that often normally we get clumpy damp grass 😂
@nightsister_rage3254 Жыл бұрын
The weather has been absolutely smashing this past week or so. Seeing all the silage contractors and all the farmers in the fields has been such a sight. Are you still using the Haybob as a rake or do you have one those larger ones?
@DM-eq1fq Жыл бұрын
Have you ever considered putting an extension on the chute? Can you get an air compressor for the tractor would be handy to blow stuff down and get rid of the chaff.

The 3650 looks great. I was travelling in my truck near carnforth uk and in a field at the side of the motorway was 3000 series John Deere with trailed forage harvester..That’s the 3rd trailed forager I’ve seen this week..
@gerry6420 Жыл бұрын
Yea the trailer harvesters are still popular. Gives farmers the option to cut their grass when they want. Not relying on contractors to come and let you down. Still great to see

Hi Gerry, is the build up of hay/fire hazard worse when the cover over the smooth roller is on. Most JFs i have seen seem to have this guard removed. Wasn't sure the reason why but maybe that's why ?

@gerry6420 Жыл бұрын
I’d love a 1060 but it’d be hard to justify the expense of one. Who knows.
@chucklesx Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately it seldom ends with just upgrading the harvester. 3 trailers on the draw this year keep him lifting continuously so bigger harvester would probably want a 4th... then you start putting the man and loader on the pit under pressure 😂

Why do you power wash machinery just before bringing it out to work would you no clean them after your finished using them? Or is there any specific reason
@Massey7718s Жыл бұрын
Saves the bearings if you wash them before use. The water can lie in them over winter and not do it any good
