A mystical harmony of beauty and grace. One is taken to the inner recesses of the heart and spirit by the enchanting rhythm of the instruments and the singing of a soul warrior, whose resonance pushes the margin of Haya Band''s musical score to the depths of an inner appreciation. Their music is timeless for it crosses the chasm between strength, peace and love in a flowing manner like none other.

Very well stated, indeed. Haya touches the very core of soul and spirit. To me, Haya is the most original, fascinating band performing anywhere in the world today. Words can't express my deepest respect, admiration for the music and the band members. To me, they're a blessing from God to humanity. Blessings and peace, from a 67 y/o Texas cowboy.

What she sings, named "Bagan's Butterfly". Based on Mongols folklore, it's about a boy named Bagan, his mother was really sick, before her death, she told Bagan that she'll go to a far-faraway place for along time. Then, Bagan asked, how could he see her if she's faraway. Then, her mother told him, that she'll come to him as a butterfly on the flowers of the vast grassland. The song itself is about how Bagan missed her mother everytime he sees a butterfly.

That's what real music is able to do, to pass thru the barrier of culture and language difference to the depth of every soul. She's singing about a mongolian boy looking for his mother, who passed away due to serious sickness when he was only 5 years old. In the last conversation, the mother told her baby son that she's going to a far far away place and will take a long long time to come back, but in every spring when flours blossom widely on the prairie, she will come back to see him in the form of butterfly. The boy believed that till one day he went to the butterfly musium and knew the truth of everything ---- he collapsed and bursted into tears.

Mama, where are you? You said you will turn into a butterfly and come back. Mama, take me home. I am thinking about you at night. Mama fly. Mama fly. Mama fly~ Mama return. Mama return, Mama return~ Mama, don't be sad. I saw butterflies flying in the distance. Mama, take me home. Flowers bloom on my prairie.

They are from all over. The founder of the band, the morin huur player, is from Inner Mongolia, China. The singer, Daiqing Tana, is from Qinghai, China (closely related to the Mongols). The bass player is from France.
