It's been ten years since The Wind Rises, Hayao Miyazaki's previous masterpiece, and now his newest work of art is almost upon us. How does it stack up to the rest of his illustrious career? Well, Josh had the chance to see Studio Ghibli's latest The Boy and The Heron early and is here to talk about his thoughts on the film!
Although the WGA and the AMPTP have come to an agreement and have made a deal, the fight is still going for SAG-AFTRA. So, of course, we continue to be in full support of WGA/SAG-AFTRA and their efforts in striking against the AMPTP to achieve fair compensation and the right to not have their jobs taken away by soulless artificial intelligence. Art is needed for the human experience and the human viewpoint is necessary to create art. We wouldn't have this podcast without the magical work made by our favorite talented artists and creators, writers and actors, who bring that viewpoint and vision that makes this art-form that we all love so special.
We'll link below some ways to help support these WGA/SAG-AFTRA strikes and all the wonderful people fighting for the heart of this industry:
