I dont think people realize what goes into the whole farming scene. No time off!! We never got to take vacations as kids because my dad was always farming. I swore id never marry a farmer and i didnt. I appreciate those who do this for a living, its hard work.

Thanks for putting out these videos of what all is involved in what goes on before you are ready for harvest. It's a lot of work getting everything ready so there is no break downs

Great video series on combine maintenance. It really helps non farm folks understand how combines work. Keep up the good work. Stay safe out there .

The repair videos are the best. The music on this video rocks it. You should have large speakers blasting this while harvesting. You are beyond lucky to have parents like you have. You are all my inspiration. Give your fur angel an extra hug today. We had to put ours down last week after 19 years. I love watching you and your angel play. Stay safe. Good luck on harvest this year.💙❤️

There’s quite a bit of preventive maintenance required in that type of operation. You definitely save a lot of money by doing it yourselves. It’s really interesting to see the inter workings of a custom cutter. I used to run my own machine when I farmed soybeans and wheat. It definitely pays to do maintenance at the shop versus in the field. Great content!

I really like your maintenance/repair videos. Combines & headers are so complex. It's so interesting seeing some of the many parts that make these machines work. How y'all can keep everything straight is beyond me. If I took things apart, I would never be able to put them together again. Y'all are geniuses! Great video!

I always leave a trickle charger on equipment that's going to sit for a long time. Great informative video. Thx. I'm always amazed at just how mechanical, knowledgeable and patient farmers have to be. Also, there is something very special about having a wife/mother who gets in there and helps. When are you going to find a young lady like your mom, Haydon? LOL

Hey Hayden! I had a question I asked last year but you were busy mid harvest so it likely got lost during all the busy times but I was curious. You guys run specifically Macdon headers over the JD ones that fit the combines. Why did you go with macdon? is It purely say a finanacial decision or do they perhaps perform better? Maybe even the parts are just easier to come by? Thanks for taking the time to read and maybe respond! Grandfather passed last night and this video really brightened up my day, watching people work on big machinery is always a treat for me.

Hey Andrew, sorry about your loss :/. MacDon side by side to a JohnDeere preforms much better. Also MacDon is way more simple to work on rather than a JohnDeere header. I can’t say much about the newer style JohnDeere because we have only ran one the one time in North Dakota. Although just side by side comparison there is just more “tech” on a JohnDeere that we feel would be a pain to work on. Everyone has personal preferences this is just ours :)

Macdon is the best header. Sometimes I wish they built the whole combine.
@MrAndrewfreeman
@MrAndrewfreeman 10 ай бұрын
@@HaydenOnHarvestI thought that might be the case! more tech, more to go wrong, more spares needed. And with the cost of deere parts you'd be out of business real quick I reckon.

Have been watching since you first started cutting last year followed you all last year. But I’ve asked this before how many hours do you put on a combine in a year just curious know you harvest lots of acres. Just wondering. Has to be in the 2-3000 range

No, one time dad put a master on it and the plastic cover rubbed it in two and it broke. Needless to say we just put a new chain on from MacDon that doesn’t have a master on it haha
