Here's a little something more different than what I normally post.
This cantata remained largely forgotten throughout history until this recording's revival. Haydn scholar H.C. Robbins Landon and conductor Harry Newstone reintroduced this cantata for the BBC series "The Unknown Haydn," where multiple forgotten Haydn works (such as Applausus on May 24th 1958) were revived for broadcast. This rather short cantata is for a quartet. Some early Joan Sutherland present here!
I've repitched the audio and greatest improved its sound quality.
