It's like he was born to play all sonatas of Haydn. It's marvelous each sonata he recorded. I always became surprise the things he discovered in these pieces. Long live to him.

Toute la sonate est très belle, mais le deuxième mouvement est génial. Haydn nous parle, nous console, nous aime...

Because it is unexpected and surprising and Haydn is all about surprises. It makes the music more interesting. It is also a common practice of the time. Bavouzet is a master of this when it comes to Haydn.

@@zhannagumenyuk9076 Puchelt an Horowitz play this much better IMO. Also even Sokolov if you want an idiosyncratic version.

@@pablobear4241 Adding extra ornamentation is standard of galant music. It adds a lot of charm to the piece, which is certainly one of the defining features of Haydn's music! Mozart was known to have done this as well, adding occasional trills and appoggiaturas. This performance is excellent! I agree with Zhannagumenyuk and Bavouzet's excellent interpretation of Haydn in this piece. Each performer has their unique benefit, and I think Bavouzet does do a wonderful job.

Потому что это в музыкальных законах жанра - никогда репризная часть не играется один в один в повторении первой части, исполнитель волен добавлять украшения и играть по-другому Чистый повтор слушать неинтересно
