Phenomenal video. Could you explain how you managed just the alkaline water in 20 miles, then no more until 10 miles? Thanks. Happy Trails
@MikeWindsor Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Ended up finding good water a couple miles before expected, but just had to sip on the nasty alkaline stuff until then haha

@@MikeWindsor Hi Mike, I'd really appreciate your input on the following: 1. What maps did you use both digital and paper? 2. Which guide book did you use? 3. How many sections of the trail were you able to cache food and water? How long before the hike did it take to do those caches? 4. What was the typical mileage between resupplying water? food? 5. What time of the year did you go? 6. Any thoughts on doing the trail solo? I really appreciate you taking the time to answer. Bob

Hey Bob! I’d recommend joining the Hayduke Trail Facebook Group if you haven’t. It’s a great resource. 1. I used Gaia with printed Skurka maps as a backup. 2. There’s only the one guidebook by Mike and Joe that I’m aware of. 3. I didn’t do any caches, with the exception of one at the mouth of Hack Canyon when I went back in the fall. 4. It really varies. You’ll need to do some research on this. Look at the water chart and different resupply/cache options. 5. I started April 1st, hiked Moab to South Rim. Then came back in the fall to finish SR to Zion. 6. I did most of it solo. If you have enough experience and enjoy hiking alone I don’t see why not.

Hi there, what camera did you use? Did you bring along a solar power charger as well? Thanks!
@SuperGAGALUVA9 ай бұрын
^^I'm going to add to my own Q, do you have a blog or video of the Hayduke gear you used? I just found your channel and will watch your cdt gear video but know that is a different place / time... planning on doing the Hayduke next year and love listening to how different people approach it. Thanks - Hello
@MikeWindsor9 ай бұрын
Hey! Just my iPhone. No solar, but 2 10,000mah battery banks. I don’t have a specific Hayduke gear list or video unfortunately, but it was pretty similar to my CDT gear. Used a different pack with hipbelt, and had more water capacity. And some paracord for lowering pack when needed. Enjoy the Hayduke!

I love to follow you on this trial, but the music is very of putting, natural.sounds is much more immersive.

Sorry it bothers you, without music it’d just be a bunch of clips with my out of breath breathing in the background 😂

It was tastefully, approximately done imo.

I have to agree. Nice imagery but the audio distracts.

Maybe something more chill, and instrumental. I have to agree. Other channels have music that doesn’t distract. Pretty views though.

Your comment is too jarring. Why not turn the volume down if only the music bothers you?
