Agreed! honestly i wonder how sceptile is doing. i honestly always never picked the grass types in any of the games except bulbasaur where possible like in gen 6. then i watched a video and learned superior is actually pretty crazy and im a gen 5 boy. (who preferred emboar because why not). Kinda beginning to take an interest in grass starters. am i becoming the weird kid? because as far as im aware 90% of people pick the fire or water starters in their games. Either way, that sceptile was cool! i hope to see a video on what sceptile can do at some point. very interesting stuff.

Malamar is also really funny in doubles as it has skill swap, you can give contrary to a hydrapple then set up trick room and with leaf storm and draco meteor it will get free max spa. You can also use stored power and psych up to copy the stat changes of the hydrapple and have 2 max spa pokemon both soamming insane stab moves

The thing is, it requires Hydrapple to take two hits, one for Skill Swap and one for Trick Room. Hydrapple doesn't have terrible bulk, but it also relies on Regenerator a lot (and it can't switch out or else it loses Contrary). It seems like a risky setup that could lose you the battle on turn 1 or 2.

You can also use trick on Malamar to give contrary to other Pokémon. Anything that uses Draco Meteor or Close Combat is really fun.

I would love to see any Contrary Pokémon with the Room Service item. The idea is if you switch your Contrary mon into the last turn of Trick Room, and it will actually get a speed boost instead of speed drop from the Room Service just in turn for the Trick Room to expired.

Hey Love ur vids, idk if u already have a plan for Smergle but I think I may have came up with good moveset for it (mostly because I couldn't do this with Scorvillain) basically make it learn Spicy Extract and Foul Play (I also gave it Fake out and acrobatics with a Mirror herb but you can do something else) I guess u can give it the ability Moody too but I haven't tried that yet. I'm sure u could make it an interesting mon to play with.
