Dude. Lately, I have been smashing people up with stamina Mudsdale. I maxed out its defenses (special and regular), gave it a tiny bit of extra attack, and the set Rest, Sleep Talk, Earthquake, and Body Press. Along with some leftovers, this horse has been on a tear, knockin fools out left and right. This Pyroar video was awesome though. I love seeing the under used mons succeed when you build them right and use good strategy.

I'd prefer it if Pyroar just got an ability that actually helped it over a Mega. Mega Evolution was removed for good reason, and while I assume that Nintendo learned from their previous mistakes given that every other regional gimmick was generic, if they didn't then Mega Pyroar would have to compete with every other Mega, notably including both Mega Charizards, Sheer Force wielding Mega Camerupt, Solar Powered Mega Houndoom, and Speed Boosting Mega Blaziken. Even if they did make it generic, then Pyroar would be competing with every other Fire type that passes Dexit for that Mega slot even if it got a unique Mega Form and Ability.

I always thought mons with a normal/other type combo are good candidates for adaptability, give that normal a bit more oomph since it won't hit for super effective against anything and it'd make its fire moves more scary too. Otherwise I always thought it might be cool to make an ability that gives sound moves priority, Hyper Voice would of course benefit from that but it could also make Pyroar interesting as a utility mon with moves like Snarl and if it were to learn Howl and Growl or even get Torch Song down the line.

Pyroar is actually busted even without Hyper Voice. I hatched one recently and it was male, so Rivalry and a Life Orb in doubles next to Stonjourner (Power Spot is a 30% to ally damage) and we one-shot a Lando-I with Flamethrower. Tera Blast deals solid damage even if you don't terastalize, and if you do, then it still gets STAB if you turn into whatever type, like grass for instance. Work Up can raise Attack and Sp.Atk which is an option, but you can use Noble Roar and Throat Spray to both debuff your opponent and power yourself up.

I think one way to make pyroar better would be to give it sheer force as an ability since pyroar gets access to some moves that could utilize the sheer force ability like flamethrower, fire blast, and dark pulse. Maybe giving it scorching sands, energy ball and focus blast could also be helpful.

Lol what I did with Moxie Pyroar before was use overheat to get a kill and the Moxie boost then you can ignore the special attack drop and use physical moves. Not really great but interesting lol

Online items reset so you can keep battling and as of gen 9 they let them reset in the main game. I talked about that in the lets play because my Throat Spray kept coming back after battle.
