Thank you for posting this. I remember these lectures at Christmas. Eric was a genius, totally open minded, and here he's trying to open the kids' minds. It was so sad the establishment 'scientists' made his life such a hell.

Professor, Sir Eric Laithwaite, a genius. Inventor of the linear induction means of propulsion. Great to see him again.

Thanks for reminding me - I saw the original in1974. Now it's helped me to develop a free energy system based on gyros. Just tested it and it seemed to work. I wonder if it will see the light of day. If so, much is down to Eric in this lecture.

So, in short: a gyro stores kinetic energy in its torque-spin and it will release it by induction through its shaft, and that kinetic energy transfers to what ever is connected to it be it a rope, a miniature eiffel tower, a weight, a child, etc, and produces the 'garden hose' effect in which it shares the energy with its recipient permiting 'alterations' in mass, making something behave as if it were lighter than it is (like the kid lifting the big gyro)...add into the mix electromagnetic or pure magnetic energies and the gyro should be able to focus and send it throughout the shaft to be absorbed by whatever is connected to it. After all, flywheels are used precisely for that particular purpose. Couple that with the stuff that has been discovered in the fields of electromagnetism and we could (theoreticaly) manipulate those energies and whatever they are connected to in ways we have yet to see...

Does anyone know what's going on @ 2:37 ? He gives it a push, and it continues to rotate in that direction so perhaps that's the point. Whereas if all the mass elements were connected up with one another, he wouldn't have been able to do that.?

Did not anyone notice? Just after minute 4 in video 7 he stated that gyros show a lack of force that is expected, namely centrifugal force? If there's a Nobel bomb shell to be exploited here, that would be it.

The fundamental flaw is to see a rotating phenomenon as an object. It is not. It is made of matter, like an object, but it is not an object. It is a momentum transference device. For this reason the weight is mobile. If you want to understand this extraordinary proposition, please... ...watch my layman's explanation of how gyroscopes work using only geometry I've worked out myself, and there is a second video which gives my equation to calculate the dilution of weight in relation to the spin. (The weight does not reduce, but the effects of gravity are diluted in a similar way to the way Dolby reduces noise on a cassette tape) Here is the playlist. kzbin.info/aero/PLz4azdHbQ7mnmwAfm1LwwIqcLH9Ax3C5y

This is very entertaining. But what was he trying to achieve? Some times I thought he was trying to suggest it was a free source of energy... and its not because it obviously uses the energy that is put into it and then takes a loss from friction.

He is trying to say that we need to explore the amazing properties of gyroscope and understand the science behind it.
