I really like Hayes a lot. There is a reason Cristina sent him to her. She knew they had a lot in common. They can relate to each other. He has seen children lose a mother through his own sons. It also sounds like he has gotten to know and even bonded with her children from the video calls. Derek knows how much the kids mean to her. He would never try to persuade her. Showing that Hayes had an effect means something.

Its like saving hope that Charlie on the final season of the show dies and wife stay alone with a 2-3 year old son and a pregnant carry their daughter 7 month prego. Charlie sees on the end its passed 50 years after his death, his wife join him at the beach. She said is alright the kids are all grown up now. Thats means she died old didn't remarried nobody else, she had friends help her out with the kids. If Meredith survive covid, she could raise her kids into their all grown up adults life, Meredith could died on old senior age then join Derek at the beach..

As much as I want Meredith to fight, I feel like she always comes back for the people that she loves and cares about just so she can’t break them. Every life altering decision she made, she made out of selflessness. I really want Meredith this time to make this decision for herself. I wish that she makes this decision not because of the people she loves, but because SHE wants either the life she has or the afterlife. She has sacrificed so much for everyone but herself, and I hope that this time she does something for herself. I want her to know that whether she lives or dies everything and everyone will be ok as long as she is happy. I know again many of you will hate me for this, but I want her to go back home and die in her bed, warm and peaceful, around the people she loves. I want her to say her goodbyes and close her eyes and see everyone she has lost and everyone she loves on the beach and then she finally gets to be with the love of her life. God I feel bad saying this myself. I really wish Derek is alive, but I know it is so unlikely and that’s why I hope that the series ends with this. Also I like Hayes and all, but I feel like I prefer Hayes with Jo. And also because Meredith just lost Andrew and I feel like it would be weird for her to move on in just a few episodes. So ya
