The SG44 had been designed for the Russian front and was issued to boost the firepower of the reduced strength Volksgrenadier divisions. Apparently not in production long enough to be issued widely yet. You forgot to file/cut down the mould lines (flash) which run transversely across the tops of the steel helmets. The MG was the key infantry weapon as the infantry squads were based around it, one per squad, two per Panzer grenadier squad, three in each paratrooper squad (enlarged to 11 men). The key thing is that it was a dual use weapon, doubling as a light MG, or as a medium MG in a tripod mounted role. Firepower extremely high, but limited by constant overheating of the barrel. (Which was 'air cooled' ie. not cooled at all)

Well done, the mold's lines are a little annoying, but the only problem with this box is the lack of ammo belts for the Mgs. However an useful box of figures.

Thanks for showing this video of the MG teams. Good figures with nice painting. Well done. Since I'm looking for a MG-gunner with loader in 1/72 scale it's good to see your video. Think the lying version is the right design for my project. Changing to a better detailed MG 34 and ammo box with ammunition belt and it would be work. Greetings Jorama

De très bonne figurines il n'y en a pas beaucoup mais au moins les posent sont différentes,il y a 2 grappes identique dans la boîte c'est dommage sa aurait été plus judicieux de faire une grappe avec les mêmes armes mais avec des posent différentes

Very nice figures. If the mystery small arm isn't an MP44 then it might be the SturmGewehr...
