I hope all realize someday..that there are 2 different beings within us..literally..just knowing the simple fact that we can talk to "ourselves"..but who are we really talking to..who is listening..one is concious..and one is unconcious..and maybe a third..that would explain the trinity..

Because there is stored, unexpressed, unprocessed grief/sadness there from our early experiences when we weren't loved by our parents or other adults, caretakers, the love we had to give was not returned, because our parents themselves were damaged and unable to love freely, and instead probably were cruel, or distant. Saying 'I love you' to ourselves or our inner child (which is not a separate entity, but may feel that way, because we are disconnected from that part of ourselves), but really our real selves, our young self, really should be just a catalyst to access buried, unfelt feelings, not an end unto itself. I don't think it should be used to try to overcome, counteract those feelings of grief, or even the feeling that we don’t deserve love. Those feelings come from painful childhood experiences, probably that were repeated over years, and when the real feelings from those experiences come to the surface, it is the most loving thing we can do for ourselves (and our young self/'inner child') to allow ourselves to finally have our truthful reaction, to allow those buried feelings, how it really, really felt, to be felt, to flow through us. Then self love, self compassion comes naturally as a result of feeling the feelings fully, of giving them the time and space they deserve, and we deserve.

You havent heard it enough. Especially from parents/yourself. The inner child needs to be revisited and acknowledged and loved. And the more you neglect it the sadder it gets and the more it craves love and look for it outside of yourself because you just refuse to give it to yourself. And when you make the bold and incredibly empowering decision to look yourself in the eyes and tell yourself you love her. You and your inner child feel heard, feel LOVED (something it deeply desires and lacks) and that can be a really reallt shifting moment and an incredibly emotional one.

All I can see in that mirror is my mother shaking liking I am, although not diagnosed with PD. She was alive, but had stopped living for many years before her death. Now, I find myself turning off more and more, despite becoming less symptomatic. I wonder if she felt as lonely with her disease as I do. I don't know how to be different without feeling ugly. When my hair grew, all she noticed was how ugly she thought I looked. I didn't know I was ill then, and it feel guilty for making her unhappy, as well as for not understanding how lonely she must have felt. I hate looking in the mirror and seeing what these years of being bedridden have done to me. I feel both guilt and self hatred for my treatment of her and sometimes believe that my having this illness is nothing short of instant karma. My children have separated themselves from me also, because I still have been unable to set boundaries. How does one love oneself living with guilt and regret?

Yes, this is the toughest wellness and healing exercise. I know I prefer the thought of Jesus or the disciples he empowered to come put their hands on me and heal all my psychological wounds that I thought I had healed and released from, repented and built upon a new foundation. Yet, when I look in the mirror my inner critic comes back. Until we believe we are forgiven and worthy of love, it is very difficult. Jesus, was very clear on love being the most important thing. He was also very clear on "Judge not, lest ye be judged." How do we release from judging ourself and move to being healed?
@strahinjamacesic3974
@strahinjamacesic3974 8 жыл бұрын
+Wellness Weavers By stopping fighting the judging. Accept the present condition as it is, and in this instance, it consists of you judging yourself. Say to yourself "I accept that now I am judging myself. It is not something I desire to do, but I am aware that it is what I am doing at the moment. I am willing to release myself from judging, and accept myself as I am right now". You will notice that after that, that you won't be so opposed to judgement anymore, which is the first step. The first step to change is the acceptance of the thing you want to change. When you feel that you are fine just as you are, even if it means judging yourself, you will automatically move on from judging, sicne there will be no more need for it in your life. :) It is a process, you are not in a hurry so...easy :)

@wonderlandisalanguage9646
@wonderlandisalanguage9646 6 жыл бұрын
@@offchan You're right ! I was wondering if it would work with a camera and you're right ! Except it's not that it would work less well _ I think it would not work at all ! The point is to look in your eyes. The eyes are the gateway to the soul. People say that's only a saying and that it's not true but this technique _ and Louise Hay, if she's invented it _ has proven them wrong and still does. But I'm getting off track here. My point is, it's your eyes you need to look at, not as in the organs but as in what they are _ I don't fully know what it is they are in the psychological and perhaps even the spiritual world but that's what you need to look into. Edit: I'm so sorry for rambling on, I'm not even an expert on this subject, this is just my personal view and is totally spontaneous.

@kingfiend

I guess the point was not about affirmations, but to start talking to yourself and not ingoring. "...Louise, I am willing to learn to like you"- I think these words fit very good, because you aren't lying when saying this, you do not love yourself at the moment, but you want it hardly, there's no other reason why you would come to the mirror work. And your inner child hears it, it sees that you are trying to connect with it, it sees the afford you put by just doing this rithual. In a longrun i am pretty sure it will give the results. I am gonnaa try it from tomorrow, good luck to you.
