The private bunk room on the 22bhe is a game changer on a light weight, short travel trailer. This is very appealing to us as a family as the private bunk allows the rest of the camper to still remain accessible during the litte one's naps. That's not the case on other models where the bunks are located within or directly connected the main living space. Love that GD continues to re-"imagine" features and camper layouts - That's my dad joke of the day.

I like the Aim 14MS and 16BL. The killer feature was the breakfast bar instead of the dinette. These two units look like an incredible amount of room in a small package. The reason I like the shorter trailers is their handiness. When you start getting into lengths of the mid 20’s in length and up, your now talking about lots of length and weight, with big footprints. That footprint takes up a ton of space back home, so you need a big spot to park and store it along with the space to maneuver it from the street into its parking space. And you need the bigger more expensive tow rig to handle them. And when your traveling around, the shorter overall lengths allow for a whole lot more smaller parking area and tighter road access. There are a whole lot of camping sites and parking lots that become inaccessible when you start exceeding 20 feet in length. And with the great space squeezed inside these two units, you have a great overall package.

The Serenova 150BH and 160LG are just plain cool! Love those huge front windows, flowing formed outside shapes and the contemporary fitted interiors. These would be great candidates to add styled and sculptured flowing curved fenders to the side instead of the afterthought unimaginative off the shelf half round rolled fenders seen on almost every other teardrop or compact trailer.

I really liked the Reflection 22RK. Easy road mode access, nice bedroom. I like bedrooms where your head is not squeezed into a box (i.e. between two giant cabinets). I like the night table look - more residential. (I wish it was a king mattress though.) Also, the Imagine 2660BS was pretty cool. At first I didn’t care for it, but that rear bedroom with the desk is awesome. Lots of practical solutions in that floor plan. Yeah, those two models were my favorite.

@@JoshtheRVNerd hmmm…looking at the specs, the 24BSE is only 1000 lbs. cargo capacity, also the 2660BS doesn’t have enough space for “cuddle compliant” theater seats. Might be dealbreakers, but I’d still like to see your review of them both 👍

I used a MS Excel spready sheet with all the specs then I had narrowed down to only 3 rv's. Then I went thru and compare each spec or features to each other and then highlighted the the best indiviual spec Green and the most negative with RED. The. you can see the full picture of the one rv with the most positives. I had over a couple hundred different specs. RV short mattress vs residential full length mattress. Solar or no solar. Holding tank sizes, all the different weights. RV length and width. ceiling heights in rooms. High step down from shower, did it have a pantry, plain microwave or microwave/convection, fridge type 12v or gas/electric. manual jacks or electric jacks. One A/C or 2 A/C's. Type of tires. If you don't highlight all these things you will forget or which one had what.

We're a couple and on extremely rare occasions we might have a friend overnight on a fold out sofa or dinette bed so bunkhouse models are something I fast forward through. That said, I like bed slides or wardrobe slides for the extra closet space they afford, but I think taking BH model and making a walk-in closet or pantry in place of the beds would be an amazing idea.

Thanks for the great info, Josh! We are glad to see a bed slide option. We wish they made one in the Reflection model under 33 feet. I personally feel very claustrophobic in typical RV bedrooms and I am very petite. There are a few things that we think would make the Imagine 2660BS even better for us. 1) Make the theater seating cuddle compliant. 2) Make the steps to the bathroom pullout/pulldown steps so that we can get in even if parked next to something. 3) Place a door between the toilet and sink so that you don’t have to walk out into the main living space to go to the loo in the middle of the night. The sliding door could cover either the hall or the bathroom entry. Since it’s a couples coach it doesn’t seem necessary to have both covered at the same time. 4) We prefer to use our fireplace instead of propane heat in the shoulder seasons, but we could bring a portable option if one can’t be added. 5) We would like the option to have a Gas/Electric water heater. We only use full hookups and are already paying for electricity with our campsite. It seems odd to have to use electricity for the fridge and propane for water. Please bring back our options. It also gives us a backup should one option fail.

Want to see full reviews of the Serenova and the 2 new floorplans in the AIM series. 14MS and 16BL I like the way they did the sink OVER the toilet in the Serenova cuz it appears to give more usable space around the toilet. Wish they would bring that to the AIM models with fold down sinks. Also notice the Serenova has 2 burner stove. So why isnt it vertical? Would give more counterspace. Use the kind with the folding cover not this flip up cover

I wish GD made a MAV model that had the Curt beast mode suspension. We have a Nobo 20.3 and towing a BMS equipped trailer is a game changer. Our first camper was a Grand Design and I really like their quality and attention to detail.

Hi Josh - I’d love to get a closer look at the Imagine AiM 16BL. My wife was especially intrigued by the new clever bunk/murphy layout and her first thought was how we could downsize from our 32ft bunkhouse(!), especially to fit better into national and state parks and return to a “camper” vs an RV. We were impressed by the attention to space saving details, such as the folding sinks, bed, dining bar, as well as the great storage and innovative use of roller shades for the bunks. Would it also be available in their “off road-y looking” trim package?

We are loving the Serenova; yet we need a bed we both can get out of without climbing over each other. We want to simplify and go smaller and get little better MPG’s. Wish the wheels weren’t out full extent but partial instead. Love the the windows and openness of it. I recall Jayco introducing the Valor or a similar name lol But they went quiet? I feel more new smaller models need to think twin beds. Or open end so one of us can get out at the end of the bed.

Those Serenova modes are awesome. I'm about to embark on solo travelling the western states, currently in a Taxa Cricket but I'm sure I'll end up with something a little larger, with a bath and a dinette as I work out of the camper and would like a little more table space and a more comfortable seat for working longer hours. My tow vehicle is a GMC Canyon so I'm hoping to find something with a ton of window space, dinette, bath and around 5k pounds GVWR max. I believe my tow capacity is 7700 but I'd like to stay far under that if possible. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again for all of the awesome information.
