Hi Josh, from sunny Nor Cal. Did most of my 3 years of research from ur stream. Always informative and funny. Best salesman in my opinion. I chose the 2022 Eagle HT 320 FBOK. Simply for the better all around build and warranty. Didn't mind paying extra for that and the layout. On my must haves list, washer/dryer, tall ceiling, and room in the bedroom. I did like the pantry in the white hawk. My HT does have more room with 2 slides. The bath isn't much smaller and i can walk into my laundry room that also has a slide door. The bedroom is spacious and has extra storage behind the couch and a dresser and fire place. I didnt need a king, so cut down the bed platform to fit a queen. It has enough space besides the dresser to add a tall storage cabinet. The other slide has a regular table and chairs and 2 theater seats. It's equipped with 2 whisper quiet AC units, and two solar panels. Outside kitchen with small fridge, sink and lots more storage. Ladder to the roof for maintenance. It's been almost 2 years, and I'm very happy with my purchase. Best part, it's paid for. 😊

We are 100% sold out of Freedom Expresses currently (which should tell you something about their popularity!) else I'd definitely have done this already. I have only done about 1/3 of the comparisons I want to record & have been held up constantly but simply not having RVs in stock like we normally would. As soon as some more things roll in I'll get some comparisons for brands like Freedom Express, Jay Feather, Rockwood, Cherokee, and a bunch more

I think my biggest pet peeve about the eagle ht is the lack of outside storage space..I love how the white hawk has an outside compartment in the slide under the dinette and think the eagle ht could benefit from that as well! I’d the white hawk has the bigger bathroom and the hidden pantry behind the tv/fireplace I would definitely buy that one!

Jason, great job. We had a Jayco Fifth Wheel, (which we loved but wanted a King Bed)...so we went to a Newmar Class A, but now have an rv lot, so we now want a travel trailer w king. Jayco makes a great product, so we're looking HT direction. Wish ya were closer...we are near Vegas. 🙋🏼‍♀️

Hey Josh, did you notice the chassis upgrade on the 2021 whitehawks. It's something you might want to mention. The leaf spring hangers are now bolted on instead of welded and it looks like a much more robust setup. It especially makes sense on the White horse split axle design. I had a double leaf spring hanger failure and it's something I would not wish on anyone. Not sure why all trailers aren't built this way.

From my experience they're generally pretty good that way. Imagine focuses a little more on being a touch lighter while eagle tends to focus a little more on larger features

The Eagle HT has a 2 inch thick sidewall as opposed to the 11/2 inch one on the White Hawk, but I like the scads of closet space on the White Hawk 27RB compared the the Eagle 27RBOK. If dollars were unlimited, my preference might be different..... But, I like the look of the White Hawk better. The 747 nose cone looks better versus the more upright (and full cap) on the HT. I'm short, so a vaulted ceiling works fine for me. Both are very nice units, but the White Hawks checks the right amount of boxes for the dollars.

I like the upscale features of the Eagle, but the floor plans are all too large for what we would like. I would like to see more couple plans and maybe bunk plans for possible visits with grandchildren but in a smaller floor plan.

Eagle HT used to have a smaller couple's model, but it didn't quite "catch on." Just taller/heavier as shown in this comparison To get smaller than a super slide the White Hawk or Jay Feather series might be a strong go-to model for you. Freedom Express does some FANTASTIC smaller couple's models with a fold down guest bed as well!

In these videos can you include the comparison of typical storage tank size? That’s a big selling point for my wife and I for our next camper since some campgrounds we like don’t have water hookups. Our current trailer only has 27 gallons of fresh water so we can get by for the weekend showering in the bath house, but would like to be able to extend those trips in the future.

That's such a good suggestion... then you Michael. It's something I very often simply forget to consider. It varies so greatly by floor plan that it's not always super cut and dry, but perhaps something like a "mathematical average tank size" comparison..??

Average tank size would be helpful. My wife and I are a few years away from upgrading but are already doing research just trying to get ideas and were basically set on the Jayco 28bhs because of its 76 gallon fresh tank but now after watching your video of the wildwood 26dbud because of its 60 gallon tank and several thousand dollar cheaper price tag. At least having an average would allow us to know what brands to avoid.

It appears that jayco now uses a traditional I-beam frame under the white Hawks for the 2022 models. I brought my new 2022 29bh home Monday and noticed it. Sure enough, they no longer specify a Norco frame, but rather "American-made frame with integrated A-frame". Fine by me, as I think the I beam frame would be stronger.

I've never seen where the I-Beam vs. Norco frames have a significant strength variance. The Norco frame is actually made with a higher strength / lower alloy grade of steel. But it's thinner gauge so it pretty much evens out. Steel supplies have been touch and go. It's theorized they're going to start seeing steel allocation which may bring chassis production down a bit

There are plenty of great RVs out there, but my role here is really to educate folks on the offerings we have within our lineup and the benefits to working with Haylett RV. When I compare two brands we carry here I can be brutally transparent. Often each brand has comparable points, but now and then one just clearly wins in one category or another. I don't feel I can do that with the same degree of integrity on a brand we do not feature here & will not make purely negative or obviously slanted bias content. We get enough of that during political election season. I know I certainly don't want to see more of it lol

We are a few years away from retirement, and potentially doing this full-time. But out of the different models I've seen in this size & class, the Cougar seems to be the one I find most appealing. They are better for colder climate use I think? - I did that question mark just for you. So then where do baby trailers come from?

Cougars like Eagles and White Hawks are all tested & proven cold camp capable. They actually seem to boast slightly more impressive hot climate testing as well (I think their attic venting helps there a great deal) Regarding the baby trailers... *Sits down on a stool* When a mommy camper and a daddy camper love each other very much..

Not that I've seen w/o doing some custom fabrication work. That's actually something I forgot to mention on the Eagles -- they are prepped so you can add things like extra shock absorption systems. White Hawk isn't prepped in the same way. Again, I've seen fabricators come up with solutions, but nothing "out of the box" of which I'm really aware marketed for Wide Stance axles I'll also 100% admit I'm not an expert in that area & could simply be ignorant to something that exists already

King vs Queen I get half the bed and so does my wife. Her half is in the middle and my half is on the outside edges. Getting a king bed doesn't make my half bigger and it's harder to make the bed when there is less room along the sides. I'll stick with a full length queen bed.

Not sure why such a weight difference. Eagle has much more counter space. White Hawk has almost no prep space but it looks like it has more pantry space. My needs are leading me more to the CKDS but it’s weight is worrying me. I can only buy a 1/2 ton. It’s rated for 13000 lbs but not a lot of leeway for an Eagle.

Great video. I watched because in Jayflight V Wildwood,you said these were truly 4 season trailers. I want half ton towable 4 season, preferably Azdell.I live in Angleton, TX which is hot but want to travel summer and winter. What would you recommend? No bunkhouses. Are these 2 the only 4 season trailers that are around this size (weight)? And yes I would drive to Michigan to buy a trailer, because I could drive with no trailer, buy trailer then camp in Michigan then drive back with trailer. My wife is from Midland and we recently went to Glen Arbor and Mackinac, we loved it.

There are a LOOOOT of brands that *CLAIM* "four seasons" function, but nearly none of them actually test and prove it. Eagle and Cougar do which is why I hang my hat on them. I trust published results a lot more than unproven promises.

So in summary: to get an Eagle you pay 18k more than a jayflight. You get a seven ft ceiling. No better insulation, the drop frame went away, no solid surface, nonstandard 2nd ac, no whisper option for the second ac, and no standard auto level. We are probably going to go for the eagle over WH but that is because we found one with solid surface and the layout is marginally better. I’m still at a little bit of a loss around what you are gaining for around 20k…

If you are staying on the interstates, and camping only in parks, the Eagle is better. But for boon docking back roads and such. Whit hawk would be better. So for me white hawk would be the choice. When I see a tall ceiling, all it means to me is. How many more minutes, will it take the heat. To get down to my level. Sorry, just a country boy.

The biggest difference between these 2 trailers is the white hawk is designed to be towed by a 1/2 ton truck and the Eagle ht is designed for a 3/4 ton truck. The white hawk does an amazing job of being beautiful and luxurious while still being weight sensitive.

At the risk of sounding like a self-impressed jerk... No. They likely are not. But for good reason -- I've done NOTHING but study RVs like this for 12 years straight now. That's not to say they're "in the dark" on this stuff, though. We have staff members that've been with us for 6-10 years with a lot of familiar faces around the place. There's always a new person or two. Sales isn't for everybody naturally. But we work to keep our team educated. Every monday we pull a different brand of RV into the shop and I personally lead a full walk-thru workshop where my team members listen up, take notes, and even have a quiz at the end I personally write. It can take a few years to REALLY REALLY "get" all this stuff with all the brands we carry. But we work on it and we're always trying to improve.

I feelthe same way, I go to all the RV sales places and RV shows and find I can ask so many questions that they can't answer for me, your videos show alot more than the average sales reps can discuss. That being said, I've commented with both Ian from Camping world and Chris from Gander, who is working with Ian now about how to become a "product specialist" here in Ontario Canada. What would be the best approach to get into this kind of work to do what you do? I would love to show people the good, the bad, and the ugly about the RV world meaning the difference between the amount of differences with all the different products, lol Guess that being said I would love to make a difference, lol.
