I have to agree that this is a near perfect couple's floorplan. The kitchen is perfectly placed, the entertainment is directly across from the theater seating, nice size dinette (w/ option for chairs/table), solar package standard (w/big solar options), king bed, good size bathroom (no pass-through), storage for days, 4-point electric stabilizers, heated underbelly, 30lb propane tanks, no heat vents on the outside camp side. I prefer the standard ladder from the factory, it's always there, one less thing I have to buy or keep track of and it's never going to move. Only dislike: Outside speakers... I know I'm beating a dead horse, but hopefully one day they will stop cutting unnecessary holes into the trailer and just give you a Bluetooth speaker to put where you want.

Eight things for me would make this the absolute 100% perfect RV trailer: 1) Push the fridge forward a little to avoid head knocking on the slideout trim and add outdoor storage access behind the fridge. 2) Slider drawers beside the bed. 3) Awning over the outdoor kitchen (this might be tough since the outdoor grill slides under the kitchen cupboards and probably can't create room for an awning anchor point on the other side) 4) Drop down TV bracket. 5) Change out the cupboard gravity drop hinges over the bed to those better hinges that hold the cupboards open. 6) Make the switch finally for all USB outlets to type C. 7) Move the TV hookup to the wall across from the bed left of the wardrobe. 8) Go to a single sewer hookup. I don't think it's a plumbing code when I see other trailers doing a single sewer hookup. However, if they can't get the slope over that distance, that could be the reason. Most of these are minor changes (except the larger awning covering the outdoor kitchen) that could maybe be incorporated for 2025. This trailer has really good bones though. Also I'm a big fan of permanent ladders on the back.

Having a "foodie" Black Lab, the counter behind the bench seat back, is a no go for us. I do enjoy a bench seating. I like to sit cross-legged. But chairs and table would be more practical for us. I'm not fond of king-size beds. There is not enough room to walk around the bed. Best part for us is being able to get to the refrigerator and table for quick stops. Also helpful in choosing a better time to clean out after a trip. We have the table on a slide. It works, but when it comes in, that's the last time to get things out of the fridge and cooking area. This tt would be worth checking out. Thanks!

I just watched this video for like the 5th time and I still am amazed by what they’ve done in this one. I LOVE that they kept only one door on it too. And the campsite windows are not traditionally a strong suit for Cougar. Not anymore! It’s like a small one bedroom apartment. And it’ll still fit in our provincial parks up here in B.C. And I’m confident my half-ton Tundra would haul it around just fine. I want one so bad!

Had the 22’ before but love this floor plan! I wish they’d put the outdoor shower right by the outdoor kitchen. We used the one on the camp side of ours to set up a table and dishwashing station. So handy.

The TV hookup abover the passenger side window in the bedroom actually works great for putting the Modem & Router for snowbirding. We work for a consessionaire in CO and the company requires 300 Mbps internet for video conferences, etc to hide away the modem in the bedroom is a great thing.

So glad to see a couples travel trailer under 30’ that has an enclosed bathroom and not a pass through. This bath is big enough and does exactly what you need a bath to do!! Drawers would be nice in the bedside tables and bedroom tv placement would be so much nicer at the foot of the bed in that blank wall space. The goodness of the recessed medicine cabinet in the bathroom causes the awkward TV placement on the side wall instead of end wall. BUT, I would prefer awkward TV instead of a medicine cabinet that make brushing your teeth almost impossibe in the bathroom.

Nailed it! Ideal for this single camper. Being hot/cold rated, I don't have to worry about that sudden cold snap in Maine like the last time I visited out there. I absolutely love this model! I was going to say something about no medicine cabinet, but it totally fooled me. I like the tile inside the kitchen cabinets, makes it look higher end for sure. I would opt for the free standing dinette. I agree with bedroom tv mount is in an odd place…but some long cabling and that is solved. The storage is amazing throughout. Honestly, I can’t find anything that would be a deal breaker for my husband and I!

This is why Cougars are my #1 pick! The TV can go onto a collapsible mounting arm that will pull out and move where you want it. The ladder doesn't matter as long as I can get up there. Solar "Max" is a must for extended travel and boondocking!!!

We are in the market to upgrade from a 2013 TrailRunner 25RL, and this is just about the best replacement we've seen! Only three suggested changes: 1. Move the TV mount in the bedroom to the foot of the bed; 2. Allow a swap out for two swivel rockers, instead of the love seat; and, 3. Consolidate the sewer outlets into one connection. Thank you for another great review. We would opt for the queen size bed. Love the bedroom storage. Would probably do the sleeper sofa. Love the road mode accessibility, but you couldn't do a full supper in steath mode since the stove is inaccessible. Storage in the living area, kitchen and bath is killer.

Awesome floorplan!!! It's on the short list for me and the wife. But I wonder if Keystone/Cougar could tweak the kitchen a little to give us access to the cook top and stove while in travel mode? Maybe change it to a "26MLE" (or slide the booth and door a little closer to the front) next year to give the kitchen counter top a few more inches in order to move the stove/cook top over to the campsite wall instead of the rear wall so that you could cook (if need be) with the slides in.... just a thought. A++++ travel mode then.

I love this design, and it is my personal favorite from all of your videos. My husband watches all your videos and tells me when you have a new one out. This trailer design has everything I want shoe cubby, stealth mode camping. I like the bedroom. I agree with you I don't want to crap where I eat, I don't want to have to walk through the bathroom to get to bed either. Designer need to take those of us with Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease into account when designing trailers too.

The layout of this trailer is one of the best I have seen. I currently have a cougar and I hate the two separate grey water drains. One is under the popout which means you crawl under it to drain it. Also, my experience with the “wrapped” doors and cabinet fronts is it starts to peel. Our trailer is about 4 years old. That is disappointing. Should have held up better

We just bought a Flagstaff Microlite 25fkbs. I was looking at another that had a dinette and theater seats like this with a much better shower but I didn’t want the tv up so high. I even asked if it tilted down, but nope! So, I agree that they need to have those high tv’s tiltable!

I think Cougar has a winner here. I much prefer a free standing table option to a dinette, and if you have a dinette with storage, it should have a drawer. I'd pick the theater seating, and keep an inflatable mattress for guests. No nitpicks at all about the kitchen; counterspace is great. That outside griddle under the minifridge had me tilting my head, but it works. Travel mode is outstanding, as is the headroom in that shower. A drop down TV mount does sound like a good idea, and I also wonder why the bedroom TV is at the side instead of foot of the bed. Maybe someone complained it got in the way? I would rather live with that than crick my neck. Eh, while my father prefers watching TV in bed, I don't, and probably wouldn't bother getting one anyway. Unless the mattress it comes with is surprising comfortable, I'd go with a queen.

Great review of a great design. This is a serious winner. I would pay extra to get solid surface counter tops and for the TV mount that would pivot down. I also like the fact that the theater seats are not jammed right up against the wall or refrigerator. The space beside the seats makes it feel more residential and elegant.

Great review! We just looked at this trailer in Houston and hope to buy in the next 6-9 months. My only real concern so far is there is no heat vent in the bathroom. I think it’s just an oversight that they will correct soon.

I wish they had an option on the 25mle that ditched the dinette in favor of the pull out table/fireplace and pull down tv from the new 260MLE for better counter space and entertainment area. I have considered ordering the table and chairs option and attempting my own replication of that set up. I'd much prefer to have the option come from the factory though, I am not what anyone would consider a great carpenter haha.

A friend of mine just bought one a month ago. On his first test camping trip he found out the shower was plumbed into the black tank. It's the dealer he bought it from now for some warranty repairs. Dealer said Keystone said that's the way it's designed 😮😮

we love our WE, west coast, version. I'm working on installing an Inverter on ours. It came with the prep wiring but i'm installing a transfer switch and a 4000w inverter. Will be adding a wider battery box to store 4 Battle Born lithium. I want a 00 gauge wire from battery to inverter in pass through storage but that'll require holes..still to come, just got the thing

I've seen a lot of RVs just use a common sideway-swinging bracket in areas like a toy hauler garage But Cougar uses bigger TVs and I've heard it can be too much weight for them. I know Cougar is looking into it

I truly believe that and attached letter is an additional safety feature Using the telescopic, ladders may be fine under ideal conditions but if you are on uneven grade, or you are having any issues with mud or anything else with the ground, those are your two strongest points of contact for a ladder that is not attached to the trailer except at the top To me, it is worth the additional expense to have a ladder that is not going to put me in a hospital

I really like your videos, and have been a sub for a long time. I purchased a Coachmen 246RKS after watching one of your reviews, and if I didn't live 1200 miles away from your dealership, would have purchased it at Bish's. We are ready for an upgrade, so after your review of this floor plan, we went to look at one. The first thing I noticed was the fit and finish was not what I expected. I thought this trim package from Keystone was of better quality, however after peaking under the hood, was disappointed. In reading the comments here, I was surprised to see the reports of the shower draining in to the black tank. In trying to confirm the report, I was so disappointed to read/watch the number of issues Keystone customers are dealing with. I know all manufactures have their issues, but when you pay more, you should expect more. I'm certainty not wealthy, however am in a position to spend more to get better quality and customer service. After my experience with Giant rec-my-world, and recently the unbelievable lack of product knowledge and pressure sales tactics with Camping world, I think I'll keep what I got until someone steps forward and provides a quality product, with quality support / sales. I mean it should be obvious that someone looking at the specs of the camper would expect the reported grey tank of 60lbs to be an advantage when camping in sites that aren't full hook up. To buy this camper only to realize the shower drain is shared with toilet and is only 30 gals ...... well really sucks, and should be communicated up front to the customer.

A near exact version of my Favorite 22MLS with the exception of the bedroom (bedroom in this one is private 👍👍👍👍👍 th8s may also take the spot of my #1 Favorite as well but so I'm debating with myself, lol😂😂 This is an Awesome Floorplan 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊 and bigger with only one slide out and the. Onus 8s that mini camp kitchen 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊

I've been looking and saving for a few years, and this layout is in my top 3. However, I wish there was another decor option. I love the kitchen cabinet colors and would much prefer keeping that color throughout. I hate the dark colors. Would love the option to keep light colors with the kitchen backslash, furniture, and cabinets throughout. Also would love for Bish's to expand into the south.

I would have gone with table and chairs with this one Gives it a more home feel and Sleeper sofa for guess Capacity I'm A little confused on why you have double The amount of Is black storage than gray I feel like that should be switched But other than that, This thing is great

Here's an idea for all RV's. You the TVs that come out of the counters...... Well maybe someone can do like a reverse deal and make them drop down on the same type of system so you don't have a neck breaker 3000 situation trying to watch tv.

I wish they could swap toon the dinette for a tri-fold sofa. It’s super hard to find a way to have both theatre seats AND sofa in trailers or 5th wheels without going significantly longer. We have a disabled adult traveling with us so we must have that bed. We can easily use TV trays for meal time.

We have a 2023 22MLSWE and here are my comparisons to this model. Ours is lighter, shorter, and more maneuverable wherever we go. It's a 'couple's camper' so why build extra to block off the bedroom? We actually enjoy the wide open floorplan of ours for spaciousness (think of opening window shades and having sunlight and ventilation throughout, instead of a closed off bedroom box). Dinette drawers; you'd be surprised how awesome those are for accessing storage, rather then lifting cushions. Single RV dump, fixed ladder, and dual lithium batteries with 400 watts of solar for our boondocking trips in Arizona. We also have fridge, oven/microwave, dinette, bathroom access with the slide in. Ours is 1,600 lbs lighter (7,200 lbs max gvwr), we usually travel at around 6,500 lbs, and towing with our 2023 Ford F150 4wd with the 3.5L ecoboost and 3.55 gears is a very comfortable way to go without considering needing a 3/4 ton truck. We've been to multiple AZ State campgrounds with no problems backing into sites (ours is 28' long), and we've been on 8-9 day out of state trips with plenty of comfort. Sidenote: our Cougar has had problems since buying new and I've been fighting with Keystone every step of the way this year during warranty, mostly with paying for quality repairs myself, but once the problems are resolved the camper is pretty nice to spend time in. Probably everyones RV story, too, because they are built like junk. Anyway, my personal impression is this new model doesn't do anything for me to consider trading. If you're truly a couple camping (without kids or grandkids) then do your shopping and comparing between the two to see which works best for you. We're happy with our 22MLSWE, I just left Quartzsite after desert camping last weekend, and we're on our way soon to Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks this month before enjoying the Arizona summer camping on the Mogollon Rim in the cool pines. I still think that 22MLS is the best fit for me and my preferences. But for folks who don't like a bathroom by the kitchen or want private sleeping this is a great fit I'm just glad they build both!

@@JoshtheRVNerd Yep, I can see reasons for either model, and I hope folks spend time looking at both to decide what's best for them. Reference towing, I am using an Equalizer hitch, and it's made such a tremendous difference in reducing squat and sway (even while passing truckers and in crosswinds). One of those "must-haves"!

If they added a wardrobe slide to the bedroom and maybe changed the existing wardrobe to drawers or possibly w/d hookups in lower part facing bedroom and upper part a linen cabinet facing the bathroom that would make an already awesome floorplan even better!

I think road access is slightly less than perfect. Why not place the stove on the left side where the island ell is now, then the slide won't block it when in travel mode. And then, make the back windows taller Better all around! And to answer your question, if your partner is a light but late sleeper, have two doors between the bedroom and the living area is an advantage!

Cougars just seem better than many others. Simple and made a tad better. My2017 cougar 28RLS has been great. Usual maintenance but never failed. It would hard to trade mine out as I own it but the newer cougars are tempting for sure. A few extra bucks gets me a nice unit and it’s a cougar still

Learning the hard way that having that glass up front isn't a bonus. 2023 290Rls had it for 2 months. Fluke happenstance but a golf ball is now costing me my deductible. $2300 just to get the new glass to colorado not counting installation. Hail season has me terrified .

They should eliminate the TV altogether, and install a longer shade that can double as a screen-add a projection tv above the chairs and there ya go

swing down tv would be nice for when you want to do that, however tv above window is where i would probably leave it most of the time, so i can see both at same time. watch the rain or lighting etc. outside while whatever is on tv (probably my laptop as 2nd screen)..... there would be times i would like it to drop down and pivot left right both.... for movies etc when do not want to see outside, shades closed etc. , or again for 2nd screen on laptop while using dinette as desk. ..... road mode great, only thing you cant get to is the stove, the one thing you are by far the least likely to use on those quicker stops or over nighters on the way, as long as you got microwave, and fridge... you can eat.
