Hayley Westenra - Peace Shall Come

This song is a one of Hayley's own compositions, and this performance is from the Bath Forum concert of 12 December 2009. Hayley had a cold that night, but you wouldn't know from her performance. A new Christmas Carol in the "pop" idiom, and a very appropriate one for Christmas Eve, which is when I uploaded it. Enjoy!

I agree with that. It is a bit too fast. The tempo was fine on the album version of the song.

Dear Shortround: I agree. I think the accompanying pianist is pushing her and the orchestra with a poor sense of timing. The studio version is much better. She also sings at a lower volume in a high consistent range. She is relaxed on that version, she is not relaxed here. Also, the orchestra seems like they are just there for union scale, but the piano player may be throwing them off as well. I guess that is why they have a drummer, to keep time.
