I listened to this album over and over again while processing the end of my marriage from an abusive partner. I get emotional just listening to the opening line, "First thing to go was the sound of his voice." Indeed it was for me too. This whole album is a reflection of a woman creating poetry from the death of a relationship and the loneliness that lives along side it. Coping with loss and moving on was a strenuous step but my god, this music, those verses, her voice, it was my therapy.

I'm calling it, this album is the best of all of Hayley's work and the only album that's hit me like this in recent years was Fiona Apple's Fetch The Bolt Cutters from last year. As someone who has long term mental health problems, it's inspiring to hear this kind of music come from someone who has been open in talking about their health issues and it's made me feel oddly proud

I bought the album and have been listening over and over all night; I can pretty safely say, in February, that it's going to be album of the year. (Whether it's recognized as such by the press and public, who knows... but as Hayley sings in the last song, "no more music for the masses.")

“Breathtaking!” “Melodic!” “Ethereal!” Just a few words that come to mind when listening to Flowers for Vases. This album was prophetically foretold in Crushcrushcrush. “Nothing compares to a quiet evening at home..” this is exactly that. A quiet moment of lyrics and song played beautifully. Hayley Nichole Williams thank you for such a beautiful moment during these trying times. You love hard and it shows thru your words. 👏 bravo 👏
