This isn’t to put down Taylor Swift because she’s a talented artist - but everyone has been praising her for releasing 2 albums in one year and saying how she’s a song writing genius....but I’m over here listening to this and thinking - Hayley did the same thing and I wish more people could appreciate how incredibly talented she is.

AGREED. People keep comparing this album to folklore... and maybe it's a similar vibe, but they're really different albums and I wish this could stand on its own as the gorgeous album that it is without having to be compared to someone else more famous.

Heyy. I just finished listening to the album and I'm not saying I don't agree with you but with this album I got the feeling that Hayley came to terms with not being mainstream anymore (and maybe she's even come to appreciate it). She sings "no more music for the masses" in Just a lover so perhaps she's done with fame. And "There's beauty to be found in the ordinary" so maybe that means she's ready to live a more "normal" life.

A therapist once told me that when you're young, you're on "Go Mode" sort of a Survival mode and you're busy working and doing school and among other things. And when you hit your 30s, your life sort of slows down, and all these unresolved feelings from your past begin to arise. Maybe that's where Ms. Hayley Williams is? I'd like to think so and thank her for her magical words. #inmy30s#paramorefanforlife
@BG12sofia3 жыл бұрын
I bet it is. I think it happened because of the Covid lockdown. She was, still is, stuck at home with her thoughts and her past. Moreover, she was doing all those interviews, revealing a lot about herself, about her childhood, about her parents divorce, the birth of Paramore as a band. I guess it made a lot of things ressurface.

I agree, now that I'm in my 30's all these things are starting to float to the surface and it's been both rewarding and challenging the things I've discovered. I had no idea I buried so much but it's a revelation knowing now what these invisible weights have been all my life and now I'm starting to feel lighter as I confront all the things from my past.
@kittygirl20103 жыл бұрын
I turned 30 last year so I can 100% tell you that, for me at least, it very much feels this way. I've had so many days lately where i just constantly think about my past. My early twenties were especially times when I just felt like I shouldn't care about anything, because I was young and shouldn't think about stuff too much. But once I turned 30, it was like i was hit by an invisible truck and now I just reminisce and question myself about everything. So i can absolutely agree with this.

Hayley, probably you won't ever read this. But there it goes... your album is magnificent. I'm from Spain and I can't express myself properly, but your songs are intimate, personal, full of pure beauty and truth, and pain (if that makes sense). I think you have the soul of a poet. Your music is as beautiful as your soul. Your voice is also unique, your voice has many musical registers (very versatile). Discovering your music is the best I've done so far. Please, never give up! You are great! Never lose your passion. I love specially this song. Congrats! Best wishes from me (Jacobo).

I love how she goes from future to past in the progression of the song and how as someone who is older wouldn’t find something small to be wonderful or in ordinary which seems to have an almost negative undertones at the beginning of the song. It’s going backwards from an adult mind looking into the world to a child looking which I find quite wonderful in a time where many older teens, young adults, and older adults have lost that mind to just enjoy the ordinary in life and simple things :) (not gonna lie I lowkey cried listening to this)

I’ve been listening to Paramore since 2012. I remember when I 1st heard them it was actually by accident. Heh, heh. My mother & father got me an iPod for my birthday 1 year & the girl my parents bought it from already had her songs downloaded on it. I was upset because I wanted to put my own songs on it but since it was a birthday gift, I accepted it. So while I was listening to a certain song, I realized it was on shuffle so when the song ended I skipped through them since they were all in a random order. My finger got tired & decided to stop hitting the “shuffle” button & it just so happened to land on Crush, Crush, Crush by Paramore & ever since then I’ve been listening to them. Thank you, stranger.
