They don't sound like Paramore at all. The Paramore sound was the Farro brothers and Jeremy and they way Hayley could sing until their self titled album back in '13. After that is just Hayley's project with some musicians and how they want to fit with the current era's trend (5 years ago the "back to the '80s", now the mixture of the '70s fashion and the '90s sound). I'm a die hard fan of Paramore since like day one, I accepted the last album but this song is not my favourite. I miss those angry but healthy and clear vocals, man. This whispering kinda singing in the first verse is absolutely empty. Only the bridge sounds cool and powerful to me.

Introversion is awesome I fully embrace it. Lemme ask you something though, as an introvert do you get a lot of "you're anti social" or just people treating introversion like a mental illness when in reality it's just "no, you're just loud af." I just find it funny. "He's anti-social we gotta help him get out more." No-one tells loud ass mfs to stay in and be quiet more. What's up with that?
@naturallybecoming8312 жыл бұрын
@@woadblue for me it’s more like I used to feel very uncomfortable being social but ppl do tell me I’m very mysterious or keep to myself but for a wanting me to let them kind of way. Yeah sometimes ppl do come off obnoxious 😂 but I’m finding that once I became more aware and confident in who I was now I want to be more outgoing since I’m not so self conscious lol. The funky grooves in this song are absolutely undeniable. It's like they managed to combine the awesome 80s vibes of After Laughter with the explosive rock vibes of their earlier work. The chorus is catchy as hell and I really dig the old-school vibe they went for both visually and musically. Judging by Hayley's comments from a while back, if there's more songs like this on the new album, I know I'll enjoy it because I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff. The last Foo Fighters album that came out had songs that felt kinda similar to this one on it and it got me more into them as a result, so I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of This Is Why.

What's funny about this comment is I think of the last Foo Fighters album as being Dream Widow, not Medicine at Midnight, which is certainly not an old-school vibe. But I guess it's technically not Foo Fighters.
