Ace its cool and thats why he becomed quickly the one of the best number one fav character of OP even he appeared in a very short time because basically: in the manga, Ace appeared just for few chapters and he leaved just after he destroyed the ships of Baroque Works but since his appearance was too short, they decided to add him for a while in the anime so from nwo one its a half filler, the only difference its that during the trip they added Ace in the group :3 Also imagine the tons of merch after his appearance including like a bonus unlockable character in the videogames! °D°

Well i must say these probably will become one of the best reactors to one piece them and jdanime (and not only one piece probably everything they will react to espicaly anime) , alot reacts to one piece but a few shares the amount of how emotinal and hyped and invested these two are in the story , how they pay attention to everything and try to understand yet not trying to jump to conclusion (like some of the reactors) and claim to know how everything (because seeing someone all he says oh so this will be like that , and when it happens he is like i knew it , and when not he gives the disappointment face and try to justify his guess before , or some keeps criticize ... like dude watch and enjoy and try to understand , after the episode or the arc you can do a review and criticize or comment on the story or the charactar ) What i hope the most is for them to keep going and to avoid spoilers (even hyping because they are already hypid , like saying after about like this number of episodes things will go south and etc... , and when they get there their reaction will be like oh this is what they meant , instead of being shocked and didn't saw this one coming etc..) , some reactors said there are some unavoidable spoilers like Algorithms of youtube when you watch anime and suggest to you some videos the title and the photo of it are a big spoiler

It probably helped he was actually among his friends who would be able to make sure he went in the right direction, and not just telling him where to go, considering he still got lost other times in the previous episodes if he was alone and just given verbal directions. Or how he swam all the way away from the ship on Drum Island and wound up in the middle of nowhere. As for Luffy, he went left as directed. His left since he was turned around still watching Ace and Smoker.

I keep forgetting how little we see of Ace in the manga compared to the anime. He basically shows up, chats with the crew on the Merry, gives Luffy the vivre card, and then leaves Alabasta to keep on searching for Blackbeard. Outside of some cover stories, we don’t see Ace again until much later in the story.
