The show will make you happy, make you sigh, make you angry, make you cry. You'll cheer the gains, mourn the losses smile at kindness, and rage at bosses. You'll celebrate characters, laugh with friends, have your heart broken and it'll take time to mend. It'll all be worth it and so so sad when this masterpiece comes to an end. Welcome to the journey of the Straw Hats crew. Felt like rhyming.

Sadly the show has also alot nonsense and filler stile episodes. Are the 2 girls reacting to the remade anime or the original? LETS GOOO! A big piece of advice guys, do NOT think of it as a chore or a task you have to finish. Lots of people do this and end up not enjoying the current moment of the show and it’s really sad. Now that i'm in the current episode, I wished I don't have to wait for every week for the next episode to come. But so far, i really enjoyed the journey without watching it all the way non-stop. In 2020 when the pandemic hit, it devastated the physical therapy industry, and I lost my job. I thought I had lost the chance to own my own home and my dream of being a rehab director. I spiraled into a deep depression where I couldn’t get out of bed except to go to the bathroom for weeks, and remained nearly unfunctional for months. One Piece is the thing that got me back on my feet. Luffy says to Koby “I decided a long time ago that I was gonna be King of the Pirates. And if that means I die fighting for it, then I die.” In some crazy way it gave me the courage to pursue my dream despite the massive setback. And a year later I achieved it in rather unconventional ways that I had never thought possible. The show is infectious. I may have come out of it without the help of One Piece, but I do know that I made it out thanks to it.

The scenes from this video are from the show, movies, anime openings and more. The reason why the style is different for many different scenes is because the anime has been going on for 20+ years. So animation styles change and get updated, the show changes artists. Some are from movies which usually have a distinct style as well.

I believe this video encompasses how huge the world is, and how much love is put into this series. There's many, many reasons why One Piece is to this day one of the greatest shows to be made. Bon Voyage, girls. This will be one hell of a journey. (To clarify one thing: Yes. These are all different scenes and islands and places from the show. The difference in animation and drawing is because of how the show has evolved since it first aired until now, plus some of these scenes were from movies, which tend to have higher budgets since they're just 2h they can go ham on.)

All the scenes are indeed taken from the anime as well as feature films and filler content. The art style is quite different because it’s been going for 25 years and it’s had different art directors. Also, some portions of the story were reanimated to make movie versions of the arcs in which they consolidated the story . Of course, ODA, the author and artist behind the manga, has evolved tremendously over the years! The end result, as you saw, is the most alluring and tantalizing world that just makes you want to go on an adventure!

while I'm with you as a fellow lover of one piece I will say that oftentimes our definition of "a fair chance" is pretty unfair in itself. I don't think the early episodes with their incredibly low budget 90's visuals and their overly long recaps and "next time on" sequences (which leave about 10 minutes of teasing content per episode) are at all conducive to new viewers. I hope haylo and kiss either wait for the revamped version to come out or else take advantage of the one pace edit

By that time in the anime, you really get an understanding of the character development and the emotional discourse behind each character. The most famous scene, the very one that Emily Rudd nailed, where she is screaming out "ARLONG" and stabbing herself is such a powerful scene. If that doesn't capture your attention, you probably won't be enamored for a while. The storytelling trumps every other flaw in the early East Blue saga and sets the demeanor for the rest of the journey. Also, I tried to give One Pace a shot but the guys making it just cut too much, ruining some scenes. Many shots are from the anime, many from the movies. As you come from AOT, you will feel a drastic shift (not to say decline) in amination quality. But, good for us, OP isn't about that but about storytelling and world building. It will feel and be dragged out from time to time, but there's a reason why it is so popular. @@TheOriginalDogLP At least old One Piece I wouldn't say is animated bad (like some newer parts) it just looks older and doesn't have as many special effects. I actually partly prefer the old style. A few examples: - there are many unique shots and angles in old One Piece, even rotating shots - people are actually animated walking and background characters are very unique and not copy paste - movements are unique (especially in fights) and not repetition of the same animation all over again

@@lohjutsulegend Yup, the old animation style is way better in some regards: - you can actually understand what's going on in the fight scenes and the impacts feel much heavier and more effective. - walking, running and movement in general is animated better - a lot of scenes show characters and locations from further away instead of super zoomed in face shots all the time.

I've been caught up for years but wtf this video made me also get hyped up and want to watch it again lol. I really took the one piece world for granted. It is so vast and so unique and so amazing when it needs to be so funny and ridiculous when it wants to be, grand, epic, mysterious, dangerous, just everything from a single man? "Oda is a genius" is an understatement. So many references so many inspirations and done all so well with his own Twists and takes. Wow Compared to any other fictional writer in the world oda clearly stands at the top. Tolkien and others are great but they didn't have the edge in drawing the actual fucking story like a mangaka needs to, his world building is so vast and appealing, his characters all so unique. Oda is the best fictional story teller in the history of humanity from what I can see. No one has told a story this vast, grand, funny, epic, thrilling, adventurous and they have never done in the medium he does(which is literal visualization through a manga) Man I wish him good health so he can take us to the end of this epic the way he intended it to be.

A few things to know before beginning your One Piece journey: 1. Do not read the episode titles, as they often spoil the actual episode. There really aren't many people who are “anime-only” in Japan, at least when it comes to One Piece, as pretty much everyone there reads this manga. As such the episode titles are there mostly to let the audience know which part of the manga is being adapted this week. So if you don't want to be spoiled, don't read the episode titles. 2. As a "continuous run" shonen series, there will be a lot of material used to pad out the run time. Go into the series expecting potential pacing issues, such as lots of flashbacks and recaps (especially at the beginnings of episodes), copious reaction shots, and some filler episodes here and there. I highly recommend looking in the comments section of each episode to know when the title card is so you can skip all the "last time" recap, and there are lists online indicating which episodes are filler and thus skippable (though be sure to watch the G8 arc after Skypiea). It's not as bad as DBZ (we don't get Luffy screaming for 5 episodes straight) or Naruto (no string of what feels like 100 straight episodes of filler). But there will be some pacing issues that seasonal anime usually doesn't have, so just know it's gonna happen up front and set expectations accordingly. 3. One Piece WILL make you cry. I don't care how stoic you think you are. You might be the most macho man ever and I guarantee you that One Piece will make you cry manly, manly tears. There is no shame in it. Anyone who has watched through a significant portion of the show and claims to have not cried is either a dirty filthy liar or is without a soul. 4. There is nearly nothing in this existence more cathartic than watching Luffy finally punch someone what REALLY needed punching. You will come to recognize and accept this. 5. Do not think of One Piece's extreme length as a barrier to entry. One Piece is one of the most bingeable anime ever created, like crack in anime form, and you will be glad that there is so much of it for you to experience. This story is literally a journey where the fun and enjoyment is embarking and experiencing it to its fullest. 6. Ignore anyone who tells you that you have to "get through" the beginning or that the story doesn't "get good" until episode XXX. One Piece is a fun and entertaining show right from the start and you will have a good time with it from episode 1. The only reason why long-time fans say stuff like that is because the show gets SO good as it goes on that the beginning of the series seems like trash when compared to where the story ends up. So don't go in thinking that you'll have to slog your way through 20-30 episodes just to get to the "good part". It's good from the start and only gets better. 7. One Piece is weird. Seriously, there will be parts of this show that the only explanation for what the hell you're watching will be "it's One Piece", and that will be a perfectly understandable explanation to anyone else who has watched enough of the show. 8. One Piece is NOT a kids' show. Sure, it looks like a goofy and fantastical adventure featuring gimmicky pirates, and the main character is almost literally a loony toon. That is all a clever ruse. This show hits deep and hard, and covers weighty topics and themes that no kid's cartoon here in America ever would. I mean, yeah, it is a goofy adventure with gimmicky pirates, but it is so much more than that. Do not show this to your kids unless you're sure they can handle some serious shit.

To answer your question, yes! All of it is from the show! They look vastly different because the show has undergone changes in animation over about two decades 🙂 so you get the added bonus of seeing the changes in animation themes over the years as you watch 😁

Enjoy it because right now there are no end series spoilers, nobody except Oda knows what the one piece is, once its revealed thr series will never be as it is right now. Welcome to the world of One Piece!

It's a good time to get into One Piece. One Piece has entered it's final stretch and there is probably only 3 or so years until the mother of all spoilers hits the internet. One Piece is a lot about the journey and not the end. Once the chapter that reveals what the One Piece is hits the internet it will be everywhere. Every comment section will have the spoiler for weeks. It will be a "Luke, I'm your Father" kind of spoiler and I would claim experiencing One Piece after that point will never be the same.

Listen, the live action is a FANTASTIC intro for people who never wanted to start the journey of 1000+ episodes, but it couldn't possibly recreate how lush and dense the One Piece world actually is. One Piece is arguably the best story ever told, not just in anime, but in all fiction, and a part of that is Oda's ability to world build. I love this video because it showcases just how many different islands, cultures, and concepts there are to explore. Can't wait for ya'll to start watching!

So glad you guys reacted to this! Some scenes were taken from the movies but the vast majority are from the main series. The art style does change over time since it started airing in like the year 2000 I think. Especially later in the series they tend to do an art style change every arc. One Piece is the only story I've experienced that has made me sit back and ask "how did someone write this?". It's good from the start but once you have a few arcs behind you, you'll start to feel the way each arc reverberates throughout the next, and the way the next arcs add context to the previous arcs and make you see things differently. One recent twist, the writer literally waited 14 years to pay off a small detail that no one thought anything of 500+ chapters ago. It's fucking crazy

I think is valid to inform that you guys will notice some real difference in the quality of the animation. Some of the scenes showed was movies but mostly the anime. And also need to remember that the anime itself started back in 99, so a lot changed in terms of animation, specially for a weekly anime.

Hope y'all ready for the emotional Rollercoaster One Piece is going to take u! Animation gets better as u go on due to technology as it did come out 1999. Though the story line and world building carries it nicely. 90 percent of the world you saw is on the anime, besides some movie scenes. Side note: A lot of the One piece world and culture's is based on our world. Makes it more fun in my opinion. Of course besides the sky islands 😂

I'd like to inform you guys that the anime aired for the first time in 1999 meaning that the quality of the animation has been evolving throughout the years for instance if you compare an episode from last week, it's different in quality than an episode from 2009 which explains the difference in anime quality for different shots in this video you watched. However, the show is absolutely spectacular so don't let the old animation in the first episodes put you back from continuing as I doubt that would happen anyways cause the story will keep you watching nonetheless. Happy watching!!

To answer the question, yeah the scenes are almost all from the show, some from the movies that were also made, but it's all there. The difference in artworks shows because it's been running for over 20 years and thus adapted a bit. The begining episodes will of course look older but there's a beauty to that style and the story itself is so rich that you forget about it anyway :) enjoy watching the series!
