Scrap It Man I did it, gave it a proper service, replaced the primer bubble, spark plug, gasket and diaphram, air filter, changed the oil, cleaned out the petrol tank, cleaned the carbareta with carbclean. Been an Accountant all my life, want to be an Engineer now. Thanks again, I am chuffed !!

You won't be able to prime fuel to the engine if its split.

Great video Gary, really enjoyed it. Do you know where I can buy the small spring that is inside the carb that sits under the diaphragm? It’s a Briggs an Stratton carb, the one that sits on the fuel tank like yours. Any advice appreciate cos I can’t find one on eBay. Thanks from Rob.

Hi Rob normally just get replacement Carb off ebay there about £7.50 I have seen the springs before and they were 7 quid.

I watched your video as I wanted to change the primer bulb. I was connecting it back up and went to put the black rubber cover over the pipe and it was too far away so I tried pulling it and it snapped off. Any idea how to repair it . I have photos

Great video mate 👏 I’ve just done an SP180 and 2 HP470s today, all of them bargain buys lol. Get yourself a 4” inch G-clamp from Screwfix for doing the pull cords - less than a fiver and acts like another pair of hands 😁
