Former Manchester United managers Jose Mourinho, Ralf Rangnick and Erik ten Hag all said similar things to Ruben Amorim last night, who questioned the mentality of his team and suggested they could be considered the worst in the club’s history.

Not maybe, he is right. As a Manchester united supporter I have completed faith in the guy, we have so many players that come to United for the payslip, we have players that have a sense of entitlement, we need people like Amad, Martinez, Ugarte, players who would give anything for the badge

Rangnick getting sacked was the worst thing they could have done. He literally would have rebuilt this club. Every player he mentioned in that one press conference is now at another club and doing fantastically. Even Elanga who he used as an example is doing well at forest. They could not let the truth be exposed so they canned him. Meanwhile they bought Antony for 85mil and casemeiro for 60mil. Sometimes it feels too stupid to be real. What a way to ruin the club, Wow just wow!

Maybe the best way is to only use Academy players going forward. There’s no click, no familiarity between the players. Bruno is fabulous but I’m not sure he’s captain material. He needs to be the most consistent performer the way Keene was, the way Neville was. You don’t have to be fancy all the time. Just competitive.

I’ve been watching United since the 90s, and it’s heartbreaking and deeply frustrating to see manager after manager get sacked. The club’s rot runs deep, starting right at the top with the owners. The Glazers embody corporate greed-focused solely on profits, with little regard for the soul of the club. Football has become secondary to commercial interests, and that toxic mindset has spread like a cancer, infecting every part of the organization, including the players. Restoring United to its former glory is an enormous challenge for any coach or manager. The issues are vast, entrenched, and decades old, and rebuilding will take years, even as other clubs, including mid-table ones, continue to improve daily.

I’ve been a United fan for the past 17 years, and honestly, I can’t help but question the mindset of these owners. They’re losing millions while repeatedly failing to address the real problems. How many top-class coaches have been let down by this squad? Every five years, a new set of issues seems to emerge. I’ve witnessed the Martial, Pogba, and Lingard era, and now we’re dealing with Fernandes, Rashford, Dalot, and others who fail to deliver consistently. Supporting United feels like a test of endurance these days.

0:33 Possibly the most clarifying words to explain why the contrast in performance, commitment and the words spoken by the players. Particularly, after the Brighton game and Ruben's post game presser. There's really no "big mystery" as to why United are under performing, the press is not interested in exposing the players because their lobby doesn't allow it. Conversely, the same lobby has got Manchester United by the balls.

The problem at United right now is Amorim doesn't have the wing-backs Dalot, Mazaroui and Malacia aren't great going forward, Shaw is the only one who could do what Amorim is asking the wing backs to do, but the less said about Shaw the better. Shaw, Mount, Rashford, Casemiro, Antony, Eriksen, Lindelof and Evans all need selling or releasing for 1 reason or the other. That's 8 players earning massive money for what ? Being injured or being a substitute !!! United should just cut their losses on these players. Buy players who want to play every game.

As some people mentioned here…different managers, different players, so how come things are the same…? For me it boils down to “culture”, that’s what’s been happening for a long time, and culture is something that takes a long time, it’s like in society, you can search culture in Google to see what it entails.., It is something that has to be built from top to bottom, starting with owners, ending with players… In between we have all the remaining staff, even Ruben mentioned in one of his (many) press conferences that’s it’s a change of mentality for everyone, every staff member in the club, he’s seen it already…maybe people there became “white collar” employees, 9 to 5 kind of thing, I don’t know, but the fact is that, again, different coaches, different players, so what’s there that it’s the same…? The club itself and its “culture”, which changed completely after SAF left… Don’t forget that it’s wayyyy more difficult to raise the standards and keep them, than to drop them, the former takes ages, the latter takes a blink of an eye, then to get it back it’s not easy at all… This to me has also to define the new recruitment strategy, it’s not only and mainly the technical, tactical and physical, it should be the mental side of a player first then the rest…is a player ready and strong mentally to “die” for a coach and a club, fight until the last calorie of energy and drop of sweat…that’s what’s needed to build a strong team and help implement a new culture in the club, but again, it has to be top/down with strong leadership… Let’s hope that Ruben is given some time to try to change that by being backed by the ownership… Peace ✌️

I just have a simple question, how stupid is that management? Who can't see the players are the biggest pretenders we have ever seen? Why are we hiding facts that are very clear??? Those players are shit. They don't work hard on the pitch. They are afraid to receive balls in between opponents because they lack creativity, they don't have physicality to apply against opponents. They are very slow, they can't even run. Be serious and sell those guys. Starting with the worst of them all Bruno Fernandes who doesn't know which position he plays in the team. The source of all confusions in the pitch but sandwiching it between those useless goals and assists. Be wise or you keep rotating there

100 percent agree. The only hurdle is the long ass contracts high wages they're on. Some we may have to wind down. Needs new contract structure and capped pay, and bonus as a pay as you perform.

i agree, the problem is the wage. It should be a calibre of vini jr or jude bellingham to warrant a wage as huge as rashford. when the club underperforming, they should be able to cut the player wages, so it can motivate them.

Manchester United is facing the same problem that the NBA team (Washington wizards) face all the time. That is they live in a city full of distractions, and the young players come in with no desire to work hard because of all the free distractions around them. Rashford, Pogba, Di Maria, .... are top of that list. And the funny thing is their behavior or lack of care to play hard all the time rubs off of the others, and before you know every player could care less. Look at Bruno who runs around like his head and legs are too heavy for his body, what wing does he play? He himself doesn't know what he's doing on the pitch half the time. Maino I thought was on the rise, is now on a serious decline. Buy players who are technically superior and are not into the glamour life that Manchester has to offer.

Every manager that came in has rebuilt without great results. Now Amorim says the same. The core of the problemin of MU is the owners that every time employ the wrong kind of managers .It looks like they think the solution are managers that make the team function like a machine with every player doing the same all the tame and working to exhaustion, but without creativity or intelligence. These managers will never give top results. Amorim is perhaps the worst of them all.

This things are just part of a big mess. There are other things also . The problem is not only players or managers , it is united fanbase also. You guys are still riding We are Manchester United agenda. This players became careless due to your fanbase bcoz you don't call them out enough. One good match happens , you started behaving like they are world class . Scott Mc. went to Napoli and became their central player . Conte completely changed his system to make him the central figure . So, you have leaders like Ugarte , Maguire etc. but they need proper teamates and a proper manager to back them . But these days you guys sign players and managers on hype like ronaldo , pogba , zirkzee etc none them were fitting your system but your management signed them on hype . I never saw you guys doing an out of box signing . Your owners and fanbase just didn't want ragnick bcoz he was not a hype and was telling a truth . As a Liverpool fan , I feel it is even worse than of our mess of 10 years ago.

@@HaytersTV Not better, better suited. His 3-4-3 needs very specific players in each position. His squad was built for a very different system of play. This is what confuses the hell out of me, why spend the money , sacking the coach mid season, and then bring a completely different manager, without giving him the players that could play in the new system. It boggles the mind.

Football is dead. Globally. At least in the bigger leagues. Too much money in it. Too much corruption. No soul left. No more homegrown players of one village/town/city competing against the homegrown players of another village/town/city. We have to dig deeper than the past 20-30 years to see the root of all problems. Back in the 1800s and early 1900s, football was simply about the most talented boys living in your area getting together and forming a team to compete par-on-par with a team of boys coming from another area. Back in, say, 1930s, you would put on your shirt on a Saturday afternoon and be a player in your local team or watch your home boys who you actually knew or knew their parents living in the same hoods. You were sitting there cheering your neighbour or your neighbour's son, John or Fernando or Savinho or Francois (whatever country you are from), running down the line past you and putting a cross in for another boy you may have gone to the same school with to bury it into the net! There was the sense of belonging. As the popularity of the sport soared - more money poured in, it got more competitive. We started recruiting players from miles away, people we had no connection with. Then we started recruiting players from other countries and other continents. Remember when Chelsea became the first British side ever to field a team with not a single English or Irish player in ti in 1999? That was the beginning of the end. We have gone from the age of seeing players we grew up with bust their balls trying to win the game to now watching our teams with players whose names we cannot even pronounce while sitting 50 rows away chewing on popcorn! Big teams got taken over by new owners who throw billions in transfer markets to recruit people from the other side of the globe. True that some foreign players fully embraced their new clubs and stayed loyal - players like Batistuta, Messi and Ronaldo, but this is not the case for millions of others. Football players have become a mere commodity, vagabonds, mercenaries often scoring against the very clubs they played for in the past. There is no connection, no soul, no loyalty anymore. Just a bunch of top teams trading players between themselves like some Pokemon cards. And that, my dear global football fans, is the ultimate doom, the root of all problems!

Going grey very quickly. Needs maybe to play different tactics. Wide open easy beats Ten Hag was better. Can't keep shifting the blame some coaches can motivate poorer teams. Nottingham Forrest have come from relegation. They are playing a pragmatic style suiting their players. Amorim doesn't have the player's he needs so adapt the tactics to suit the existing player's don't cut off your nose to spite your face. Looking at the brighton game they got all 3 goals from initial fast breaks then poor defence Brighton got in behind our defensive line easily not fast enough to keep pace with Brightons forwards. United didn't progress the ball forward just kept passing it back most of the game. United had good chances. Bruno 2 massive slices could and should have been goals. Uniteds biggest problem is not scoring goals do oppositions press right up to our box. United press but no quick passes no organization to many going forward no one covering.
