watched this on bbc...i just have to say that this reporter should be fired for this,for these whole 7 minutes he's tried almost anything he could to get a reaction out of the coach and still hadn't succeeded...now i dont know this manager but that's beside the point.He did what he did,was frustrated,later apologized to that man and moved on...meanwhile this guy thinks he can get away with blatantly telling a man that : he needs anger managment,is paranoid,shouldn't do this,that and so on ,as if he is his kid or something..why the fuck should he personally explain shit to you...all the while making stupid arguments like the media is making money for him because they report football or whatever,as if its a one-sided street.Well dont report sport than dick ,see how that works out for you...or how its not a personal attack,but he is defending his fellow reporter.......this kind of arrogance is exactly what a reporter/journalist should never demonstrate,but whereas the manager actually apologized for what he said , this time i see no reason or explanation why the reporter did what he did here,therefore should be fired immediately...

Have to say, I thought Pat Murphy was the one in the wrong here, not Nigel Pearson. The hypocrisy of the football writers clique is quite unbelievable - they feel quite happy and entitled to criticize managers, but if a manager criticizes a journalist then suddenly they act as if its a great injustice. They can give it but they can't take it, basically!

Craig Thomas No, Murphy was right to suggest it because Pearson clearly has anger management problems, whether that's a result of autism, or any other paranoia related diagnosis. Giving constructive criticism in a supportive, not hostile, tone is far more helpful than avoiding the issue and saying nothing, contrary to what most people seem to believe. The managers defending Pearson on 'The Morning View' were an absolute disgrace and sent out all the wrong messages.

Pearson is just a wannabe tough guy. He'd love to be like Roy Keane except he's not actually hard. This is why he's abused by fans and reporters. Because he has his little tantrums and then immediately backs down and apologises. I'm glad Pat Murphy called him on his bullshit even if he did obviously bait him at times. The sooner Pearson learns to handle the responsibility of being a Premiership manager like a man and not like a pissed-off teenager, the better for Leicester City. You'll never win against the media. Be smart enough to get your post-match interviews done and out of the way as quickly as possible whilst consciously grading your language and then use your frustration productively by working harder with your players and staff to keep your team up and also your job. Don't just piss and moan in front of the camera. Your players are big boys, they don't need you taking offence for them. Grow the fuck up, Nigel.

If Pat Murphy wants to rant on about Pearson, he should write it in his personal blog. It's bad journalism for the journalist to give his commentary for 7 minutes about what happened in that prior incident. That's not what a professional journalist should be doing. He is making the news, not reporting it. The interview should have been about the football game, not about this topic. Notice how the journalists didn't grill Poch about his rap sheet when he shouted at and harassed the referee. Pearson disagreed with the journalist about the reporting of Leicester FC. He apologized for asking him whether he's an ostrich. It was finished. The reporter is being petty and his behavior was shameful and unprofessional. Shows these reporters really rate themselves and are thin-skinned. BTW, why isn't he apologizing to Leicester and Pearson for calling Leicester "bottlers"? Pot calling kettle black. Pearson apologized for asking the reporter whether he's an ostrich. Pearson handled the badgering and grilling from the reporter very well.
@engespress
@engespress 4 жыл бұрын
Notice how Pearson apologized for calling the reporter an ostrich, and how this other reporter, Pat Murphy, doesn't apologize for calling Leicester "bottlers". The media are very arrogant. They are a protected species because the media companies are owned by the bankers. The owners and their prostitutes think they are above ordinary people. You're not allowed to say anything negative toward the people who rule over you or their minions like this Murphy guy and his fellow reporters. Pearson was supposed to prostrate himself in apology for daring to ask whether a reporter was an ostrich ... That's what this reporter's mission was to do - to bully one of these "subjects" into submission, and flagelate themselves for questioning the integrity of a reporter's line of questioning. A public apology wasn't enough apparently - it's a full-on "mea culpa", bowing and scraping, forelock tugging - one should know one's place in the hierarchy. Know who rule over you. The media men are your betters. Pat Murphy is backed by the trillionaire bankers (so long as he stays obedient to them and he writes only what THEY want reported). The lugenpress have power over you. And they want to keep the subjects strictly under control, lest the truth starts leaking out.
