If you follow the show, you can see how Tristan has really improved and changed for her, he is trying his best to get her back because he knows how much pain he caused to her. He is a good guy. Watch at least some episode (of the last seasons) and you will start to "ship" them back too. It's al about learning from your failures and mistakes and they're doing it great.
