Hello, best picture on the web of this rooftop observation deck/ scoreboard/ loudspeaker? What the heck is the box thing on rooftop? The web has no answers! Please enlighten us bobby!

My guess is that it contains the elevator mechanics - cable spool, motor, controls etc. Most buildings with an elevator seem to have a box above the shaft that protrudes above the roof.
