I am SO impressed with all the beautiful beaded scales people have made for you!! It’s obvious people LOVE the Idea and love participating in the project and love you. The whimsy in your living room is perfect!! I had no idea what to expect with all those leaf pillows!! And that you try to use items that are sitting in your garage and material in your stash makes it that much more fun. It all came together beautifully.
@IonIsFalling721710 ай бұрын
The lady at the post office telling me I could incur up to $400 US when my scales went through French customs was so funny. I sincerely hope the did not. They were, after all, made with scraps while watching Modern Family fo the third time.

The flowers and leaves kind of give your living room a fantasy elf vibe and it's awesome!
@marikotrue348810 ай бұрын
I love how there is a thrift shop within seconds of the sewing/crafting room. Sadly my garage only contains boring, not ready for crafting, items...and occasionally one or two mice. I love the leaf pillows. I hope that they are as comfy as they are beautiful. The flower lamps came out so well, but scare me. Perhaps it is just heredity as I am the daughter of an electrician and have a guarded relationship with lamps and things. Always enjoy an appearance by "the cat who is not my cat" who lends such gravitas (and fur) to every video appearance.

We were into latch hook in the early 70s. Mom designed and made an Oriental inspired small rug (3' x 5'). I don't remember how long it took her. I do remember a stall at the binding and finishing when Dad took over. Dad's parents had made braided rugs for years for them and family. Mom's rug was gorgeous and lush under the feet.

It looks like you make your log/slice of wood rug all free handedly. The rug is beautiful and your talent is beyond compare. I doubt that most folks could make such a beautiful rug even if the entire project came in a kit with yarn pre-cut and the pattern inked/ colored unto the bare rug matrix. Please keep creating and sharing your wondrous works of art.

I absolutely love all your videos. Your kookie nature and humor makes watching enjoyable. I do have a tip that might help. Years ago I made my sister some very large fairy wings for her halloween costume. I was using polyester like you were. I found using an extreme hold hair spray worked better than glue and was lighter. It helped her wings from getting any frayed pieces and gave them enough stiffness for me to slightly mold.

Pro tip on how to save time and your sanity. Zig zag stitch with sewing maching. Change the width so you do not damage your needle with the wire. I stick to floral wire because it is thin. You may have to double/triple it up to make it more sturdy (depending on the size of your piece). Use a candle to melt the edge of synthetic fabric, i do this when making flowers for head pieces ❤ Love your work
