To clarify the timeline. Angel Dust is basically Valentino's slave. Valentino is the pimp guy, he is an overlord in hell and controls the porn industry. So he is very powerful, and he makes Angel's life, well hell. There's a comic about Angel Dust, and it shows how he got introduced to Charlie and her hotel idea. This music video takes place AFTER that, which is why at the end we see him in the hotel with Charlie trying to help him but he brushes her off. Presumably this is also BEFORE Alistair shows up, so this is a prequel to the pilot, but takes place AFTER the hotel idea gets going. Cherry Bomb is Angel's best buddy, and since neither of them is powerful enough to actually stand up to Valentino, she helped Angel just destroy his nightclub, which is the end scene we see, them in there when it's empty blowing the place up, literally.

Unfortunately you're only partly right at the end, the nightclub getting blown up was a dream. It says so in the background when Angel and Cherri are leaving the building, but it's a blink and you'll miss it kind of thing

A correction this happens AFTER the pilot. Especifically because in the instagrams Angel invited Husk and the other members of the hotel to the show that happens in addict. And then there were pictures of husk and nifty of angel with the red cigarette getting back after the show like the after credit scene. This 100% happens after the pilot because he could have not invited Husk to it if Alastor hadn’t shown up yet

@@chronosclaimsall because the posts started being posted 2 weeks before the MV as a marketing strategy. The Addict MV in all social media including Viv’s was being reffered to as “The Friday Show” and all of the instagrams accounts posts about it were saying “angel invited me to the friday show” or “getting ready for the friday show” and a couple hours after the video came out Niffty and Husker posted their POV’s of angel getting back to the hotel mirroring the after credits scene. There was also a post of Angel saying he was getting ready a day before the MV dropped with the same outfit. And while yes the instagram accounts arent fully canon this was an especially important batch because it was being specifically made for advertisment and contextualizing of Addict. Theres no way to deny that when even Viv was talking about it.

This song was fan-made with help of Micheal Kovac (the VA of Angel Dust) by Silva Hound, but later, when Vivzie heard the song, she decided to make an official animation for it with her team, to make the song official as well. There's plenty of fan-made songs about Hazbin Hotel, like "Alastor's Game" by The Living Tombstone, or "Insane" by Black Griffin (which I highly recommend you all to listen to, if you liked Alastor), and many others that I can't rember on spot.

The video does happen before pilot events. Remember how in the limo Angel tells Vaggie he "owed his girl buddy a solid"? What Cherry was bombing in the music video were some of Angel's pimp's (the guy with heart shaped sunglasses) clubs.

Also to add to everything everyone has said already, youll notice as Cherri and Angel are running out of the club near the end, there is a neon sign on the wall to the right that says "It's all a dream". Theorizing that this is just something playing out in angels mind that he wishes would happen, but in the reality of it, Valentino is an Overlord and neither Angel or Cherri have the power to break away from him, despite how much Cherri would like to help her friend Angel.

This song was made by Silva Hound (made the music and wrote most of the lyrics) Angel Dust is I'm pretty sure Angel Dusts actor and Cherry Bomb is Chi-Chi (one of the best current Nerdcore female artists), Silva wanted the actor but wasn't able to contact her. And this was just a little bit after Hazbin Hotel was 1st uploaded and Vivziepop picked It up cuz It was like the 1st, serious, one, so They contacted Silva and asked if They can make a animation of It and uploaded on their channel, which Silva agreed on. Michael Kovach is indeed Angel Dust's voice actor but only for the pilot, a lot of the pilot VAs are not gonna be there for the show, which upset quite a bit of the fanbase when this news came out (I've seen some say they're not even gonna watch the show because of this), especially in regards to Michael because between the pilot, this song/music video, *and* the Hunicast, the fans grew very attached to Michael and his performance

So this was fan made (the song). Silva Hound got the VA for Angel Dust and famous KZbin singer Chi Chi to do the voices for it. Which is how Vivienne heard about it. She loved it and took on officially animating it out and turning it into canon.

The one guy is Angel Dust’s pimp named Valentino. He’s one of the three “V’s” and an overlord of Hell. There are FAN comics and stuff that show that he is really mean to Angel. We can see in this tho tho at he is abusive towards Angel. Also Cherry Bomb was apparently trying to blow up things owned by Valentino or things that were harming Angel.

the only other official song i know of is "oh millie", but i remember some of the original hazbin voice actors from the pilot uploaded song covers in character (alastor has one for "never fully dressed without a smile" lmao). once you guys have ran out of hazbin/helluva content, i have a bit of a strange suggestion if you want more: one of the animators who worked on both pilots (and this MV, i believe?) used to livestream animation with some of the voice actors and creative team in smthn called the hunicast. there r a ton of compilations online of highlights from the streams, varying from fanservice to comedy to just interesting details they shared, so that's something to consider looking into if you're interested, even if you don't do it on camera :]

The composer is Silva Hound and it started as a fan work. (Michael Kovach got permission to sing in it from Vivzie. They're not really canon, but if you want more material that the fandom are crazy for, would suggest videos by Paranoid DJ like Use Me Up, Smile Like You Mean It, and more (Us Me Up actually got a like and comment by the creator Vivzipop). Then there's the songs Insane and Heaven 2 Hell which are done by Alastor's singing actor and Charlie's signing actress. Finally Sylvahound who wrote this song did a song with Alastor's actors Ed Bosco and Black Gryph0n called Radio Play that is really awesome too

Use Me Up is another great Angel song. It's not official but supposedly takes place before Angel is found by Charlie and comes to the hotel. I think they got Michael for the voice but I don't remember. There's a version where Valentino has a speaking part at the start of the song. It may not be canon but you can really see it happening to him that way.

Some info for you guys, questions you had. There are 7 rings in this version of hell, Lust,Envy,Gluttony,Wrath,Greed,Pride,Sloth. Hazbin hotel takes place in the Pride ring. There are 9 circles of hell existing in Pride that are basically citys. The sinner demons can transform into horrific versions of themselves as a way of defense or attack. Such as is shown with Alastor and the lady news reporter. Also there are 2 comics that are prequels to Hazbin hotel, the best versions are voiced by ParanoidDJ, as he nails the voices. The comics are called "the day in the afterlife of alastor" and "Dirty dealings" witch is about Angel dust and how he got into the hotel. ParanoidDJ also has done songs in the voices if multiple Hazbin hotel characters, Vox, "Eyes on me" ,Angel dust "Use me up" , Sir pentis "My Machine" Cherrybomb "Pop" Lucifer "Change the Order" etc all I would recommend watching and reacting to. Hope this helps clear stuff up

Songs by a two KZbinr's called Paranoid DJ & Black Gryph0n are well liked by the community & always seem to catch personalities of the character's well. Never really breaking their theme or backstory that we know or slightly know most of the time & lots of the voiced tend to be great. So I'd recommend looking at some of those songs by them & seeing which catch your interest.

Other good songs are: Welcome to Hell by SIWEL, Alastor's Game by The Living Tombstone, Fiery Pits n' Giggles & Fiery Pits n' Giggles 2, Deal Maker TheDiswasher, Radio Demon by NateWantsToBattle. All those are interesting songs with Paranoid DJ having the most for character's & Black Gryph0n having other ones for Alastor & a few others as seen above. The test are just good songs that i form fit the character's we know or Vaguely know about. Don't expect ya guys to get to all of these obviously BUT they're all great songs about the show that i thought you'd like to know & pick a few for multiple songs in a video type of reaction while maybe saving the rest for other song reaction videos.

Quick clarification, this video was animated by Vivzipop et al, but the content is not canon in the Hazbin universe. The music and lyrics were composed by an unaffiliated musician, SIlva Hound, but for obvious reasons, it garnered a lot of attention...and represents one of the best adaptations of the setting and characters to date, and the animated video was the result. Unfortunately, this means that many of the details about Angel, Cherri, and Valentino we see in the video may not reflect the content in the actual show.

Some youtubers analised this song and its pretty sad when you hear it, Angel hates being there, ofc, but he's actually addicted to the adrenaline and sustainces that make him forget his problems and feeling, reason why he wanted to drink when he made fun of Charlie and Vaggie at the limo and reason why responded that way to Charlie at the end of the song cuz he's vulnerable and easy to piss off after all that adrenaline. Part of the song he says "I'm dependence" explaining why he does all that and doesn't want to feel bad, sad or depressed. Plus the moment he was suffering aside with Cherry may be related to Vivziepop's heartbroken time whike she was writting his character.

As someone who came out in middle school in the south I LOVE this song. This shows the trauma of not only trying to fit in but to be accepted. Especially as someone sexually open and forward and absolutely UNAPOLOGETICALLY gay. Once I came out I was hated publicly but bc I was persona non grata I had all of the links to all the other shady people. And it’s so easy to get snared into all of that when you’re the middle man. It took my husband to LITERALLY drag me out of the muck to get over it. And now this song reminds me as deep as you go and as deep as your trauma is. There. Are. People. Looking. Out. For. You.
