Speaking of mandatory elementary-school musicals, I actually went to elementary school in a district that made us participate in at least 1 class musical, 2 from kindergarten through 3rd grade, *every year*. However, we didn't do any Broadway musicals-instead we did musicals that were specifically written to be performed by elementary school classes by Ron Fink.

With the pilot cast? You can assume Amazon was pushing for more recognisable talent as the cast. And besides, some of those voices just don’t feel right when compared to the show. Husk’s for example doesn’t sound 100% like someone speaking normally, it feels like someone doing a silly angry voice that is very one note.
