If you want to change the system, then you can't play by the system's rules: killing Lute doesn't destroy the power structures that allow Heaven to oppress Hell; at best it just allows Hell to become the oppressors instead.

Things to notice 1- Yes Lucifer only appeared after hellborns were harmed so it makes sense that this was his deal 2- When Adam died, Lute rushed to him and she was crying so there's something there 3- if you check the new hotel, on the right there's a apple shaped booth for Lucifer and on the left there's the radio booth for Alastor 4- Viv said that the Vee's will be a bigger role as villains in the second season 5- the second season has been greenlit but we don't have exactly a date, maybe a year maybe two 6- Vox and Valentino aren't dating they are more like fuck buddies according to Viv 7- Alastor doesn't have wings, nor is his name Altruist (you won't believe how many people believed that when the episode came out) 8- According to Joel Perez (Valentino's va) he's trying to get a evil song between Angel and Val

In terms of Alastor's wings line, I think it's referring to him being tethered to the hotel. Many assume HIS end goal is complete domination of Hell...but how can he achieve that, when Lucifer outclasses even the most powerful of the Sins from Helluva Boss? I've always loved his singing voice it's amazing, but dang he is phenomenal at voice acting too. The amount of emotion he can put into his character through his voice, singing or not is unbelievable. Lucifer might've been absent for most of charlie's life(most probably due to Lilith), but when He said he would support her dream, he meant it. He's here now and that's what matter, he put his daughter back up and helped building her greatest dream

My theory is that Lucifer was watching the battle the entire time in case Charlie needed him but wasn't going to interfere unless necessary because he wanted to let her accomplish this on her own. It seems like something he would do, and it would be great parenting. However depressed he is, you can tell he really loves and cares for Charlie.

While the idea that Lucifer was obligated to not be involved in the extermination unless a hellspawn was harmed is logical and even probable, I think he stayed out of the battle as long as he did due to respect for Charlie more than anything. He wanted to see her come into her own and take charge as a leader, and only stepped in when she was in over her head. One could argue that he should have stepped in earlier to prevent Sir Pentious from dying, but part of being a leader is facing the consequences of one's decisions, even if they're painful. I personally believe that he really wanted to see her grow as a person and embrace her potential. She finally overcame her timid nature and exerted her innate power as the daughter of the first angel, which was a critical step in her growth. Because, even if it is a last resort, sometimes force is necessary to protect her people. And, when she was put into a position where she wasn't fighting for vengeance or self-preservation, but to protect someone dear to her (her father) in an immediate sense, she actually managed to match Adam's power. After which, Lucifer let loose and ended the fight. Another detail is that he immediately followed her request to show mercy instead of arguing or getting lost in his anger. He really does respect Charlie and her wishes. Lucifer, IMO, is the deepest and most well-developed character in the show, apart from Angel Dust. At the very least, he's easily my favorite. Which is impressive, considering he only appears in two episodes.

I had an interesting thought while rewatching the fight between Adam and Alastor. A lot of people call Alastor cocky or arrogant for thinking he could take on Adam but considering his whole philosophy behind wearing a smile to hide his true feelings, he might not have been confident at all that he could win against Adam. He probably just put on a brave face to ‘inspire’ his friends to fight even if he himself is not sure they could win. He doesn’t seem the type to throw hands with someone he knows he can’t beat. He definitely didn’t try to throw hands with Lucifer. That being said the only thing we know for sure about him is that he had to fight whether he wanted to or not. The real question is what exactly is keeping him there?

In regards to Zestial's comment on Alastor, he said there were rumors of the latter falling to holy arms. As in they thought he might have been killed, but since no other overlord claimed credit for such a feat, the next most likely explanation would have been he got exterminated via angelic weapons.

Kyra, I'm a person who doesn't watch very much tv (or tv style content) but this past year Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss utterly captured my imagination. My only regret about falling head over heels in love with these series' is that I had watched them alone and missed the opportunity to share in the experience with anyone else. The first of your videos that showed up in you feed was your reaction to the Full Moon episode of Helluva. Since then I've gleefully binged all your reaction videos to the entire Hell-verse. I absolutely love takes and insightful commentary and in awe of your attention to detail and ability to see the wholeness of characters psyche. One example that particularly amazed me was how you could see Angel Dust's masking process and how someone calling him fake was going to send him spiraling. Being able to watch these shows again through your eyes has allowed me to appreciate and love even more something that I already appreciated and loved quite a lot because you see and point out so many nuanced details that completely flew over my head. On top of all that I'm someone who is easily moved and brought to tears. Seeing someone else be as deeply emotionally affected by so many of the same scenes and moments that I was was an intensely validating and uplifting experience. All of this to say that I really appreciate your content and really look forward to seeing season 2 of Hazbin and more of Helluva with you :) Thanks so much

I absolutely love your eye for detail and getting into the nitty gritty on the nuances and subtlety in these reactions, would love to see the same for Helluva boss. It also helps flesh out the universe with a bunch of lore not explored by Hazbin Hotel (like Hellborn Demons, The Seven Deadly Sins and the other Rings of Hell). Also I have a feeling that somehow.. Lucifer knows where Lilith is and for whatever reason, they don't want Charlie knowing SOMETHING. Look back at Episode 5, when he's on the phone with Charlie and when she mentions that "heaven is bound to agree if I get a chance to talk to them" he glances at the family portrait and he cringes/looks nervous and I doubt that that was specifically because he's "afraid" of heaven... he's been in constant contact with heaven for 10,000 years, he's not nervous about talking to them. Yes, he's scared about what they might do to his daughter but there also seems to be something he doesn't want her to know. I don't want to jump the gun thinking Lilith is this awful person who abandoned her family, we don't really have enough info yet but maybe Lucifer is kind of sort of in on it. Maybe there's a long-term plan. There's just so much cover up and deceit going on, not just in hell but in heaven too. There's a LOT that Sera is hiding too and now we find out even Adam was making deals? damn..

In the early part of ep5 When Charlie taked to Vaggie about Lucifer and said: HE LET the extermination happen, they just had the meeting and said "GO AHEAD and kill everone" 💀 Probably one of reasons why Lilith took baby Charlie and separated herself from Lucifer 😥... Lucifer lost his hope for his people, but at least he believes in Charlie's unwavering optimism.❤ And since Sir Pentious is redeemed, Sera should also believe in Charlie's Hotel, and maybe they would want to cancel the extermination.🌟 Unless there's something else that could prevent that from happening, maybe something that we didn't know...

Razzle and Dazzle aren't technically Hellborn. Lucifer brought two of Charlie's plushies to life when she was a child, thus the two little demons were "born" in that way. Though they are closer to... something like golems. Sentient but there to help and protect Charlie. The three have been together forever so I'm glad Dazzle got a memorial statue outside the new hotel.

Theory: At the end, after Charlie has to fight him, Alastor wll be the only resident not to be redeemed as a final "it's ok if you are messed up." He doesn't want to let go of his violent tendancies, and decides to stay in hell, but goes back to helping charlie out after everything goes down.

So a few things I picked up on: 1. Alastor is literally a psychopath (Antisocial). Look up the PCL-R and compare it to him, and you'll see what I mean. 2. Alastor's deal can't be with Lilith. Him helping Charlie would go against Lilith's own deal. And if Lilith owned his soul, then logically, he wouldn't be able to do that. 3. Lilith's deal is that she can return to heaven so long as Hell is not a problem for heaven. 4. Doing something that is familiar, or that you're good at, and you know you'd get praise for increases dopamine and seratonin production. It's why exercise is commonly suggested when you're dealing with depression. Lucifer is used to being a bit of a show-off. He's great at fighting and displays of power. It's very possible that we are seeing the old lucifer when he's playfully fighting Adam.

There are a ton of theories to Lilith in heaven. Top 2 i like are that Lilith played Adam and is using being in heaven to sneak her own forces into Heaven like a secret invasion, the second is that, that is really Eve in Heaven and she looks just like Lilith and is pretending to be Lilith so Adam thinks she's is heaven while she is really somewhere else on a big scheme, this way if Adam noticed Lilith wasn't around in Hell he'd think he knew where she was. That said the question of why Charlie or Lucifer wouldn't know comes up, or if she qualifies as a Sinner (Sinners can't leave the Pride ring, but Lilith might be able to and go to the other rings or snuck to Earth as some demons can using Goetia magic or Asmodeus crystals). So something big could be in the works there.

I loved how they tied More Than Anything to both of the people Charlie loves, it's a great little touch. Though I hope Her and Vaggie get a full love song/duet in S2. I have to think there's more to Lilith making a deal than just wanting to get out of Hell. Her being just a villain feels too obvious when it could easily be that she was doing it for better reasons. It's interesting that we really didn't get any characterization of her in this season, we really have little to go one to guess her motivations. But the images of their, at least at one time, happy family in Lucifers home make it hard to believe Lilith just turned on them both. It isn't the tightest written show but this series was just so much fun and so much more heartfelt than you'd think it'd be. Charlie herself is my favorite recent character. Hopefully S2 gets more episodes and hopefully it isn't that far off.

I always thought that Lucifer could only personally interfere the moment Adam,or Lute hurt Hellborn and on top of that Adam hurt Charlie.....pact broken and Daddy could show up and punch Adam into oblivion. For some reason I hope Adam gets to be a sinner now, the same way Pentious is now and Angel. Don´t get me wrong.....Adam sucks....but he is so entertaining and I don´t wanna lose Alex Brightman. Well, you will see , hear him in Helluva Boss again. He has great songs in both seasons even if he doesn´t show up much, his character is intergral to the plot. In Helluva Boss things evolve a bit slower.

So I think AL could stop smiling if he wants to. The type of stitching used wouldn't hold his mouth in a smile, rather, they'd hold it closed. I'd be interested to know if he's allowed to speak of his deal. The stitching used to hold his mouth in a smile would pin his lips to his cheekbones, you can see it on other Wybee in the Coraline movie. So I think he smiles by choice, and here we see his smile being used as a safety blanket; he's trying to assure himself that he's still the one in control, in the face of his own imminent mortality. Also, don't celebrate yet. Our snakeboi just got redeemed fighting Sera's extermination angels. Implying that fighting her is the right thing to do, so right that it can redeem demons. Sera's not going to want that getting out. I don't have good feelings about repentious. I also feel a bit leery about Em; we may see her fall.

He gave up Lilith. Lilith had been trying to rally Hell and build a community. And because Lucifer was in the depths of his depression he was useless. So Lilith's power which was more about persuasion could not directly confront the predatory Overlords or Heaven on her own. So she grabbed a truly horrible soul arriving in Hell and made a deal with him. She would lend him her power and he would give her his soul. She then charged him with taking out the predatory Overlords while leaving the one's that showed compassion and empathy alone. And he did well. Until the Vees rose rapidly in power and confronted his power. When he fought Vox he lost. Just barely but he was forced to retreat. This left Lilith uncovered without a powerful defender. And that is when Heaven sent Adam to confront her. He threatened to kill Charlie and everything that Lilith cared for. And thus a deal was struck. Adam demanded that Lilith return to him and join him in Heaven and he would spare all the Hellborn including Charlie. Which is why Lucifer stayed out of the fight right up until Adam hurt Charle. And once Adam was dead Lute went to Heaven and told Lilith that now that he was dead the deal was over and Charlie would be targeted if she continued to be a threat to Heaven.

@@hurin1 ah, cool. You seem to like writing. There's always AO3, if you ever want to give it a try. Not saying your writing is far fetched, but my favourite novel-length RadioApple fic just took a turn with Lucifer carrying Alastor's baby, so I am looking for others to balance that nuttiness

@@sharonoddlyenough I had considered writing under the philosophy category previously. But I take your comments as a compliment and am a bit intrigued. I have to admit I too would like to see some balance to the fandom and see ideas worked out with the personalities presented rather than just doing self inserts or power fantasies. I mean Viv has created a thematically amazingly deep world of characters. May be something to play with.
