Idk if he would stay in his roots since I’ve interpreted their beef as Vox climbing the corporate ladder changing his appearance, etc to fit whatever is current while Alastor sticks to what he knows. Vox is constantly advancing and wants to stay up to date. This is nothing against your interpretation. This is just something silly I wanted to add (I sound like a nerd ik😭). I love the static tv tie though. Vivzie gives a lot of characters bow ties even if it wasn’t necessarily popular in their time, I wish people had some other neck accessory (ex: a necklace, choker, any other thing you can wear)

Furthermore, his suit is a copy of Alastor's, just with a different color scheme. He tries to set himself as different and better than lame ol' outdated Alastor, while desperately trying to emulate him. It's subtle but well conveyed, but completely lost in this redesign.

I feel like the difference in colors between classes (winners and cherubs being very pastel, while exorcists and seraphim are much more monochromatic) could’ve been so cool to see in Hell

I honestly agree with you on the fact that pilot Vox's design looks wayyyy better, and it's bcs he looks more menacing with the darker color scheme and the reds and the blues being the only colors that glow, and having Vox with a smile like Alastor makes him appear more like a villan. But the reason why vox doesn't look like he's from the time period he's in is bcs he wants to keep improving himself to keep up on whatever's trending (like any other youtubers, brands etc wich is just sad💀) but then again i honestly like your design better too bcs it really shows he's from the 50s and he definitely has that greedy businessman look, that and also bcs i prefer 50s clothings. Your redesign is definitely a 10/10

The thing with Valentino is I like is his potential to show a sinner that is truly evil since we have no info on what brought any of the characters in hell and they are only shown as victim wich, no, Angel was part of the mafia and probably took part in kidnapping, torture and murder but none of that is adressed in the show wich, since it's about redemption, would be important. Then again I ain't no simp and this man is truly awfull but I hoping for a truly evil and scary vilain that could offer nuance and depth to the idea of redemption. Overall I really liked those design espescially Vox, I love a vintage Tv look

0:22 tbh I don't really think the "They're in hell/the pride ring of course they will be red" makes a lot of sense because In the other rings they actually have much larger colour palletes (Especially lust, sloth and gluttony) which is actually quite surprising since the sinners should actually have a really vast colour pallet as the designs are mostly based off of how they died/the time period they lived/their personality, and I personally don't think in any situation they should be covered head to toe in some blinding red (Also edit: I don't think hell should relate to red, hell is normally describe as a really firey place so I think it should be mostly magma and obsidian colours, not red)

Okay Vox’s redesign is definitely my favorite. (OTHER THAN VAGGIE, you made her gorgeous.) The colors are smart and I honestly prefer him without the top hat anyway. I do think Velvette is supposed to be a doll and her era is from the 2000’s. In her pilot design I think she did originally have a tutu, (or a really frilly skirt idk), and the sewing’s pins in her hair are SOO creative wish more people would think of that. Finally with Valentino I’m not a personal fan of him but I do think he has a pretty good design. And with yours though- uh, I don’t think I can forgive you man I can’t get past the red it looks odd 😭. But I do like how you actually GENUINELY designed his wings (unlike a certain show creator). The only thing I’d change (other than all the red) is just bringing back some of the hearts on his fur and antenna, and maybe change his teeth back to its color too. BUT I like the face hearts they’re cute and makes his shiny bald head a little less empty. 👍

I love these designs, but, something I’d like to say is that some of the characters look maybe a little.. too human..Like, don’t get me wrong, human characters are cool. But, your form as a demon needs to resemble a human. Not actually be a human. What I’d recommend for Velvette is maybe giving her some more, doll-like traits. Maybe make the hue of her skin more monochrome while keeping the shade the same, as to not whitewash her like what people do when trying to draw characters on occasion. I feel like if a character had lighter/darker skin while alive, their complexion as a demon should be the same shade, but a different color hue. Valentino looks AMAZING, same with Vox, but I’d change Vox colors to have more blue/aqua colors, (but you keeping red in his design is cool too, so it’s 100% fine) and Valentino, everything about his design is spectacular. I’d change his color to be a dark pink or purple color, but red looks cool too. Anyways, EPIC!
