If anyone didn’t know and wants the flag shown in the beginning is the Vincian flag. The flag is meant to be designed similarly to the Lesbain being Vincian is the male equivalent to lesbian. It’s the MLM flag an identity referring to a male, man or man allied person who exclusively likes males, men or men allined people. That is the toothpaste flag which supposedly came out before the Lesbian Sunset. Like lesbian with Sunset vs Lipstick there is the Listerine and Toothpaste flags the community has pretty much all agreed to the Sunset and Toothpaste with the range of color and not singular color design

I understand what people mean by the sentence "your designs look like an OC," but I find the wording of it really bizarre considering every single character in existence is technically someone's OC, no matter how simple or complicated the designs are. The criticism just makes the person saying it sound really clueless, like they aren't part of the art community, or they're just dumb. its giving something like "Batman isnt an OC" even though The Batman is Bob Kane, and Bill Finger's "original character," or... "OC"

ooooooo! I haven't finished the vid yet but!! idea! for the nurse and teacher rivals ( 🤮 ) perhaps, for a redesign/ remaining they could be student helpers! for the nurse, they could be a student who tends to volunteer to take fellow students to the nurse a lot, helps them if need be, carries around band aids, etc. and the teacher..... which honestly?? kinda harder to come up with ideas for without there being a power imbalance. I think maybe a student studying to be a teacher/ have a passion to be a teacher would be the best route to go for that. perhaps they answer questions more then other students, likes to do presentations and teach others stuff!! not exactly a teacher at all, but someone who you can see being a teacher in the future!! edit: finished the video and I like the designs!! :D I love how much genuine personality you can see from the designs!! to me, it's what the original designs were trying to do but ultimately didn't execute the best

I remember as a child I wanted to be Ayano in the male rivals vid so bad because who wouldn’t want so many people liking them, right?.... Well now I have 3 boys simping over me and I’ve discovered that I’m aromantic ✨✨✨

it's so funny to me that the male rival video is so much more popular- by millions and millions of views- than the other yansim vids for multiple reasons. yandev spent the entire time developing the game practically fighting the fact that his target audience of 4chan incels were abandoning ship and growing to hate him and that comes through in everything he posted on youtube and social media after the game picked up steam, even when he tentatively denied it. the audience that yansim gained was teens who were super into anime and NOT super into the fetishy content yandev clearly aspired to include from his previous posts online, the audience he gained wanted a high school murder focused dating sim with cute characters they could fawn over and yandev made the framework of that, but bogged it down with ever growing featurecreep, an insistence on sexualizing the victims in his game even when his audience repeatedly said it was stupid and vetoed it, and an insane amount of easter eggs that bogged down even just the sandbox demo he worked on for years. he posted the male rivals as an april fools video because isn't it so funny to imagine, why would the player want to date boys? wouldn't they want to harass and kill the other girls after their senpai? why would a 4chan incel want to play a boy focused dating sim when the appeal of yansim is playing as a girl you can choose the panties of beating other girls to death over (a totally not generic enough to be a self insert for the player) senpai, essentially a murder harem. but, the actual audience of yansim was absolutely feral for it, i remember watching it. by the time it came out, i knew i was queer and my instant thought was "bisexual ayano?? i'm absolutely not a language expert and barely know japanese language structure, but usually the "a" -> "o" is something seen in latin based languages. the only example i can think of off the top of my head with actual japanese names is "haruka" vs "haruko" where "haruka" is feminine and "haruko" is unisex, but i'm pretty sure they mean very different things since changing a syllable in japanese is VERY different than changing just a letter in english or spanish. obviously me mentioning this here in your comments won't make a difference in it, whatever "it" is in this case, but i just find it really funny to think about and like to yap tbh

Ah yes my bi awakening/hj I'm glad to see my boys get the love they deserve. I love the freckles you gave Osano he looks so cute. Hearing your mini Kizano rant was extremely funny to me as he was one of the characters I had a crush on and one of my fictional types is rich prick who acts like they're better than everyone (but is nice to love interest who slowly becomes nicer) He's giving Rei Ijuuin vibes. I myself have been reworking them into my own ocs to make a bl story that the yan kun has a crush on his taro (who has a new name a real personality) he unlike yandere chan dosen't want to kill anyone and is more of the soft harmless yandere who ops for befriending his rivals and/or trying to convince them that there's someone better. It also takes place in collage so there no weird power dynamics or weird implications. The only one's design I have finished fully is Oko's counterpart (he was my most beloved, I had to do him first), who one of my friends now simps for :'). The teachers are dating btw, even though I made it take place in collage, I didn't want to write any teacher x student romance
