I have to say, when lol got the update (i don't remember when) chat was put off, i never put that thing on. 99% of the time it's useless to write (unless you are dead but even then, you can still watch to gather info, what ti do next etc) and if you wanna plan something complex, just tell in champ select. I myself in rare occasions wrote, even just a lol, a word and let me tell you, with chat off, the game it's x2 better and you actually learn how to use those pings, the amount of good calls i got bc i was using pings and not wasting my time reading or even thinking to write it's a godsend Most of the time chat=hate and it's sad, it was meant to be a mean to do jokes, spreading poisitivity, compliment the opponests, be nice, even tell something to the opponent to help theme if you see a recurring mistake by their part or missed interaction while laning vs your champ (yes i am a madlad) And i have all this potential, off, bc i still wanna do my best and chat it's not ideal for this with the generic mental state of the lol player population, sad
