With so many cryptocurrencies now available, it can be difficult to decide which to back, in this video we will look at the main differences between the Hedera Hashgraph and Blockchain technologies.
About Hedera Hashgraph
Hedera Hashgraph was founded by Dr. Leemon Baird and Mance Harmon in 2015.
Hedera is a decentralized public network for you to make your digital world exactly as it should be. Hedera goes beyond blockchain for developers to create the next era of fast, fair, and secure applications.
How Does Hedera Hashgraph Work?
In contrast to cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ripple that use a Blockchain technologies, Hedera Hashgraph uses another distribution technology called a DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph).
With Hashgraph, nodes use a gossip protocol to message each other about transactions, with this they exchange prior dates, times and amounts of the transactions they know. This allows information to travels fast, it makes it possible for all the nodes on the Hedera Hashgraph network to achieve consensus about a transaction in roughly 3-5 seconds.
HBAR partnerships
Hedera has made some strong partnerships in 2020. With some of the worlds leading organisations becoming Governing bodies, currently consisting of 17 corporations including Google, Boeing, LG, UCL and more, this will eventually grow to 39 members allowing for a fairer control of Hedera.
