AAMU was okay. Cold Steel was too much for those boys

A&T hands down. STIX chopped a lil and were somewhat clean but they could not match the intensity, flare, showmanship, sound, or damn near anything else you can think of from Cold Steel. Even if you take the snares out of the equation....the quints and tonal runs were death blows. A&T tenors had parts that added to the cadence.....Aamu playing catch with their tenors....

Cold Steel KILLED stix!!! Though I'm from the MEAC I love the sound and intensity of a SWAC band, but they should NEVER step to a MEAC drumline because THIS will happen each and every time - PERIOD!

The bass runs that cs played won it for me in my opinion. I was paralyzed with shock when i heard them play that against AAMU. Why did AAMU do that to themselves?

Not even close to accurate. HBCU drummers are more flashy and they play simple stuff that fits their shows and appeals to the common crowd, but to say they're better rudimentary drummers as a whole is completely wrong.

I totally get what you mean Caleb, it doesn't seem like your trying to insult hbcu bands - but honestly hbcu bands usually can't afford high tension modern snares making their chops and rudiments sound sloppy and often forcing them to stick with more traditional and simple cadences.

+cobi wartes Ok, you can state that.... but that doesn't change me or Calebs point. Also, I doubt that it's on purpose... they simply can't afford more in my opinion. One new high tension snare costs as much as atleast 5 of the aged lower tension sloppy sounding ones. That means they would be spending college budget (a black college at that... making funding even harder) to by new instruments at a cost ratio of 1:5 .

How so it’s entertainment lol to go along with the show let me dumb this down cleanliness,material, showmanship, execution period AAMU you can’t come with no weak material like that in a drum battle my thing with swac they work with their horns but their drumlines are lack luster and the material be too basic lol when they step to meac, hell even CIAA material sound better than swac material smh outside of swac meac bands are more balanced on both sides spectrum

@@jbu2009 Sir, you obviously dont keep with the news. The reason FAMU and BCU are coming to the SWAC has NOTHING to do with the band. LOL It has everything to do with MEAC dismantling itself, so schools are jumping ship. So, when they official become members of the SWAC, they will rule on the football field. Again, the switch has nothing to do with the band. Lastly, War and thunder are good in the SWAC, but in the MEAC, they would be roasted.
