I've been saying that for the longest. The big time media and endorsements would follow. But we as a people have not and never will support our own. We're programmed that way naturally. The institutions degrees are discredited and frowned upon. As tho they weren't earned. The facilities would be better with all of the funds generated from the best quality of sports in the nation. I have been to the annual Southern vs. Grambling game played on the Saturday after Thanksgiving in the New Orleans Superdome. The football is great, but the bands and the fans are even better. It is known as the ‘Stroll Bowl”, because everyone dresses to the T and walks around the whole game having fun. Geaux Jags! I lived in Baton Rouge for ten years. Southern is my HBU team for life.
