Gameday at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium is a one of a kind HBCU football experience; and like it or not, Deion Sanders has helped make Jackson State become the epicenter of HBCU culture.

I agree. Jackson State has been the standard of what an HBCU experience can be. Just go to the football game and experience what it’s like to attend an HBCU.

Naw, Jackson State can play a few teams from other conferences while keeping allegiance with the SWAC, the largest HBCU conference drawing bigger crowds than many Non- HBCU, mid-major football programs. HBCU sports has its own traditions and special flavor. Jackson State does not need to ever abandon this. NEVER.

In 2019, before Coach Prime got to JSU we led all FCS schools in attendance. Also, our 2019 average home game attendance beat 65 of 130 FBS schools, and that’s with a football team that went 3-8 that year. So JSU fans have always supported our school before and after Coach Prime. But you better believe we going to ball hard while he’s here. So don’t be so JEALOUS!
