Good tutorial. But FreeCAD is too many clicks to make a simple thing.

2D requires a bit more work, but 3D is straightforward in FreeCAD, a robust 3D software. I'll soon share a video on 3D house modeling and 2D view generation.

You can make the plan in Sketcher workbench and turn it into Line/Wire in Draft (and Vice versa) and transform into compound per Part workbench as he did in this video. I prefer to use Setcher than Draft.
