HBO must have changed the dialog on the R rating not long after this. My dad had cable installed in August of that year and I remember it as: "The following feature has been rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America. It is intended for mature audiences and parental discretion is advised. Home Box Office will show this feature only at night". I watched a lot of cable as a kid
