The chiefs face teams who want to see how they match up against champions. All division games are intense and close all around the nfl. The chiefs are the only team ppl expect to win by 100 points every game. 😂 it's sad when you get confidence from a loss. Oh man they almost did it. Every team in the nfl almost done it every year but there's 1 champ. Mahomes seems to be that more than not

I was at the game yesterday.... the things I've noticed.... 1. it was a good thing it was basically a home game for the Chiefs..... 2. they have a serious problem with the tackles that is beginning to affect the interior line trying to cover for them. 3. The defensive line can not rush anyone and they can't pressure the QB without blitzing and teams are picking up Spags blitz scheme now this is the 5th game in a row I've noticed this. 4. the secondary is extremely vulnerable with mediocre WRs... 5. The defense looks tired. The entire team looked tired.

THANK YOU!! I've been a fan since the '89-'90 season, when Christian Okoyé drop my eyes over to the Chiefs, and a young Derrick Thomas proceeded to make me a fan for life. I've experienced every success & triumph, as well as every struggle & failure that transpired between now and then. And, oh let me tell you.. while we have absolutely experienced tremendous success and the triumphs have been plentiful since Andy Reid to over the program (especially the past 5 years), The struggled have been mighty, and the failures have been equally as plentiful. You triumphs have all come within said past 5 years, and honestly still feel brand new. For that reason, you struggles and failures never quite leave the back of my mind. They were constant, and as a fan, the filter omnipresent. Nothing can diminish my appreciation for this current era of Kansas City Chiefs football. It's been vindication for All those years that had once brought me to the point where I began to believe that I might never see my team win a game with a quarterback they had drafted themselves, win a super bowl, or even win another playoff game (yes, it almost got to that point) AT ALL! Now, some might say that I'm being Boombastic, some might say that's ridiculous, and others might say that I'm a pessimist and that they cannot even relate. To them I would say "Then, you HAVE NOT been a Chiefs' fan for the past 35 years. So SHUT UP! I really have the impression that the defense is playing lighter because of their record. There is this feeling that Spags understands there is no reason our guys should throw their lives in the line now that the playoffs are within reach. As long as the Offense is playing decent enough and pushing forward, that's what matters. No need to try and be the best until we get into the Playoffs. That is where we show up and show out. I continue to have faith in our Defense.

The very second every player on every other team see's the Chiefs on their schedule, It's a guarantee that they all say, " if we only win one game this season, we have to beat the Chiefs". Good recap. This was the first time I got to see Young and I thought he played very well. He completed passes into good coverage but he was accurate. Looking forward to the Raiders. I go back to the glory days of Lamonica, Blanda, Hubbard, Davidson, Flores, Otto, Belitnkoff, and the “Mentor” Hank Stram. I’m 70 and remember how fun it was in the AFL was back then.

If you know me, I've been quite negative about the Chiefs recent progression. However, I realize I need to hold up on the criticism a bit. I think they have things they need to work through. Does this mean I now suddenly think they are still Superbowl Contenders? No, not at all. At least not yet. This is the same sentiment I felt last year when they went 3 - 5 and nearly lost a shutout from the Raiders on Christmas. That version of the team was not a SB contender. They made serious changes across the board, cleared the cluttered playbook to only the core material, and beat teams while holding their heads up even through the toughest of times. They became a Superbowl contender. I don't think they are there yet, but I do believe they have the ability to become that once again, given time.

Yes and Travis was open so many times and only has 1 TD period and Gray caught 2 in one game! What a shame! He was open several plays but only got a couple!! The Chiefs should have beat them by 20 but the O -line played fair the first half and it went down 2nd half! But the defense line and passing game was terrible!

Dhop’s snap count needs to be below 60% average for the season or it gets upgraded to a 4th from a 5th. That’s likely why his usage is so low and they’ll save his big games for the playoffs

Long playoff runs, for 8 yrs now, and the injury list is unfreaking believable. Panthers were getting flags for extra chances in the red zone, KC was getting flags to move them out of the red zone (happens a lot). Haven't we already had the 3 games in 11 days (rough). Add it all up, and I'm not surprised there's some sag

Best thing we can do is keep encouraging and being positive.. the new guys are getting live reps and still winning.. that’s a big positive. You have to play to get better. I hope they are not to hard on themselves because they are doing what they are supposed too.. and that’s win

Panthers might not be having a great season, but the fans I met at the game were all class acts. Most of them were rooting for the Chiefs, but the handful of panthers fans there were also great folks.

I know everyone down on Johnson but that kid is gonna be legit, give him time and everyone gonna see. He's gonna be a shutdown CB in the future. He already always in position, just need to get his head around and play the ball more.

Gardner Minshew broke his collarbone and O’Connell is still dealing with his finger so the Chiefs will have to deal with Desmond Ridder. Given the recent Chiefs history I expect to see Ridder go 29/31 for 302 yards and 3 TDs in a 29-28 loss to the Chiefs lol. Seriously though I have faith in them. I love the championship culture though. They know what they need to work on and how to make it happen and win, we’ve seen it from them before.

@bradw.49110 күн бұрын
Three (obvious) things…. 1)This Chiefs team is one of the most undisciplined teams I’ve ever seen under Coach Reid, with repeated stupid penalties on offense, defense, and special teams, with often the same repeat offenders making the same horrible mistakes. Put someone else in and take your chances they’ll do better in a game than on the practice field. Some guys are like that. They rise up on the game field. 2)The defense needs to change it up. I get it that Spags loves to blitz, but every team 'gets it' now too. The greatest strength of the blitz is the element of surprise, and the Chiefs have become wayyyy too predictable these days. This issue is only compounded when you don’t have guys that can regularly win one on one and actually get home to the QB, and then you give up constant quick passes for big yards in crucial situations. Really frustrating to watch over and over again. Uche was supposed to help. You never hear his name mentioned in the game now under this current approach. 3)Many keep talking about trying for the deep pass. Our O-line is so terrible at pass protection that PM15 doesn’t have anywhere near enough time to wait for those kinds of plays to develop. The O-line are great run blockers, but being a good pass protector is a whole nuther skill set, and our guys aren’t very good at it currently. Changes are needed immediately if they want to pass the ball regularly and not get QB15 hurt. Try someone/something. Anything. Because what you are doing isn’t going to win against good teams moving forward.
@EvilGoatBoy10 күн бұрын
Spags likes to blitz because our defensive line is as good as they are. It's less about surprise and more about positioning at this point. Unless he sends the Spags Special. No one ever expects the entire defense to rush the gap.
@bradw.4919 күн бұрын
@@EvilGoatBoy - Well, with all due respect, you are missing the whole point of my post. The fact that we are almost dead last in the league in QB sacks proves that our d-line isn't actually that good at getting home, and that without the element of surprise we have become so predictable that simple 'positioning' no longer works in getting to the QB, because teams are calling plays (quick slants, out-routes) to avoid our predictable blitz's. Thus, our defensive play calling needs to mix it up more. :)

People need to understand that the CHIEFS are suffering from fatigue more than anything. Especially with the front four on the the D-Line. I think that the CHIEFS are fine. They just need to win games. They keep the #1 seed and rest their players for the playoffs and they will be rejuvenated for the playoffs.

I live in NC. So although I’m a Chiefs fan, I have friends and family who are Panthers fans. So I keep up with them a good bit and even root for them (if they’re not playing the chiefs) I just want to say the Panthers have looked way better these last three weeks. Which is to be expected with the new coaching staff. It was a matter of time for them to start clicking and was unfortunately a perfect storm for our game with them lol. Bryce played well against the Saints and the Giants. I’m well aware of those teams situations, but good ball is good ball at the end of the day and Bryce was showing flashes. I had a feeling he’d play well against us. All this to say I’m not terribly concerned. Especially considering the chiefs play to their opponents level as they pretty much always have in the Mahomes era.

For me I think the bigger issue is the CB/defense. The offense has shown in the playoffs they can elevate their game and compete with any defense but teams will pick apart the D so I want the pass rush to step up more
@tammyboon62599 күн бұрын
Yea, this season I didn't worry how the offense was playing cuz I came to expect the defense to ALWAYS MAKE the needed the plays!!!! And this season, it became clear that the identity of team was a defensive team!!! If that falls a part they're in trouble.

The LT spot is definitely a problem, the D-Line isn’t getting to the QB which isn’t helping the Secondary without Watson that’s been very suspect the last couple of weeks.

The game was very close to be a blowout but obviously end up being a down to the wire game, but I do want to say this the chiefs were coming off a loss in a hard game against the bills, the Panthers were coming off a bye and a two win streak going into that, they had momentum and the week off this should’ve been one of the best games Carolina played

Defense looks a bit slow or off, Watson being injured is bigger than we think, and that O line at least on the outside edges is NOT performing well, fix that and CHIEFS have an excellent chance of Three-peating!!!!!!

For the most part, secondary is fine. Consistent D-Line rush pressure/discipline will help the secondary. With inconsistent O-line, run the ball and quick pass plays. Basically run plays that address their weakness(es).
