Great job on this review Ryan! Your so right about this truck. It’s definitely a notch up for HBX! Love the truck, but it would be nice if they made it ready to receive some substantially larger lipos without having to move move all the electronics😢too. Yes, this is a durable little rig. My esc beeps twice when I turn it on. Even with a 3s battery. Do I have wrong motor hooked up to it?

@RDsRCReviews I stuffed the esc from the 2997 into my 16889a. I used a 2845 motor but I'm not sure the kv or if it's 3s capable or not

​@RDsRCReviews does your 2997a beep twice when you turn it on? I hooked up a different motor to it and it didn't beep twice, I think it was a 3400 kv motor. But the one installed in the car still beeps twice when I turn it on .
