HC Diana - The Full Auto Brushless NERF Sidearm

I smell a comparison video coming...and there's some cool upgrades for this I want in the future. They have a holster that uses a magnet and a replacement board for the, "Hot Shot" switch that automatically turns on the blaster when you draw it. Getting that over here might be impossible though...

It quite an engineering feat that they pack so much things into this compact housing while still manage to maintain an 130-140 fps sidearm. I though worker nightingale is compact. But this do it with extreme.

Man, I really want one of these. I've got a few nitpicks with it, but even still, it's really good. Nightingales don't feel like a sidearm, they feel like a PDW when they're fully kitted out. The Diana just handles so well, and has a couple of neat little features that I didn't even know I wanted.

It took almost a month to get here but I got the new full transparent Diana so you can see everything happening inside. M416 also has a mag extender which combined with a regular mag increases the capacity to 24 shots. A bit tricky to assemble, but they have a video. Very fun blaster, although the lag is a bit noticeable on semi auto without “rage” mode on.

Yes, the lag is infact very significant. The maker do understand that and that is why they come out the hot mode. But that is draining lots of battery if u keep is on for long time. I suggest immediately off it if not in the game. Also the stock mag is horrible. I used only nightingale mag and the operation is much smoother. Of cos, u need some mod before the nightingale mag can be secure. It's usable but not secure if some accidental bump and pushing.

A gen 2 already came out. HC added a magnetic reed switch to the 3 position switch on the right side of the Diana. It puts the blaster to safe mode while it is in their updated holster.

I think I'll stick with my Nightingales for now. Like you said, if a Gen 2 ever is released, that will be the upgrade to go for. Not to mention some of the 3rd party mod kits for the Nightingale really give you some options while keeping out of the +$200 price point. Great video

I should be pretty simply to put a analog shutoff switch into the lipo line and mount it on the outside of the blaster. Might have to have some exposed wires unless you have a real thin switch though.

True. The only way to disable the battery is unplugged it. It's annoying. They shall program some way to off it with trigger operation. Like holding it for 15s , will off it.

The thing with the burst just kinda reminds me of the halo 3 BR, it does its burst, then it needs like a fraction of a second after before the next. Its not bad by any means, but definitely takes some getting used to

Worker nightingale is much bigger, very noisy, no select fire, no programing, lower fps, No led iron sight. I do like worker nightingale but its no comparison to HC Diana. You can get this from M416 gel blaster for $200 only.

Has somebody who already owns a Nightingale. The Diana is cool but not something that interests me. I personally think that brushless as an ecosystem still needs time to develop both on the hardware and the software side before I personally find it attractive enough to invest in.

handgun-sized AEGs for Nerf is tough since there's barely any room in that form factor for a gearbox with a large enough plunger tube to propel darts at a respectable velocity. The QWK Edge showcases this limitation. AEG handguns are already anemic for airsoft, so trying to fire a larger, heavier dart in a package that size is wishful thinking.

proprietary mags are annoying yeah (and we have it good in Nerf since nearly everything uses standard Talons nowadays, the closest thing to standard in airsoft are M4 mags and Glock mags), but for a sidearm, I'd likely only run two or three mags, so as long as they're a reasonable price for the capacity and build quality, I don't think it's a dealbreaker. It also helps that this blaster can use Nightingale mags with a simple modification.

It is a cool looking blaster, but it should have been said that this is not safe in public spaces in the US. There is no orange tip on the Diana and it is far too easy to mistake as a firearm.

I dont know why would one would complain when they paid $600 for 3D printed blaster but grumble when they paid only $250 for a quiet brushless , high performance compact flywheel pistol. $250 is a steal, dont grumble about it. You shall be happy about it. If you ask DZ to make a brushless motor flywheel with mosef, I am sure they are going to price it almost the same HC Diana. As some pointed out, brushless motor cant be cheap. Dont compare orange with apple.
