Good review of incomplete vehicle. I'd Love to see a complete mailaway because I think the color is just awesome. Would go with the Mauler in a desert playset & work with Dusty very well.

It would be a nightmare tracking down the missing parts for that. Those type of rare vehicles u need to buy complete or ull pay an arm n a leg on parts and spend forever trying to complete

@HoodedCobraCommander788, some of overstock figures and vehicles made here in Brazil has sent to Hasbro. Quick Kick, Rampage(Heavy Metal) is brazilian version, this vamp II, and probaly others that i cant remember now.

funny, I see the darker vamp as an African vehicle, and the light tan more of a desert one. if I remember right, it s first appearance in the catalog was the lighter one. I remember being annoyed that it was darker than expected when I bought it. it s second appearance was the right tone though, they fixed it afterwards. if I d knew that then, I d have ordered it right away, I like it much better tan. good work Commander!

Which steering wheel did mail-away MK-II have and what color was it in? Were the doors and roof of the mail-away the same color plastic as the ones on the retail?

The steering wheel was tan on the mail-away and was in the style of the one from the original VAMP, I believe. The doors and roof were black instead of dark gray on the mail-away and were a little smooth and less "canvas-y" than the retail. Essentially, the doors and roof on the mail-away were the same black ones used for the Tiger Sting; so like the Tiger Sting, the driver side had the rolled back opening on the roof on both versions, but unlike the retail version, where the passenger side had a cut-out of the roll-up, there was no corresponding pattern on the passenger side on the mail-away. www.yojoe.com/images/resize/w/MAX/vehicles/84/vampmk2/vampmk2_var_both.jpg
