Lyrics and Composers of all musical number(s) in this clip:
*** Maybe I'll Come Back ***
Words and Music By: Charles L. Cooke and Howard C. Jeffrey
I will come back when the elephants roost in the trees
I will come back when the birds make love to the bees
I will come back when the sun refuses to shine
And President Coolidge is a cousin of mine
I will come back when the fish walk around on two feet
And promenade up and down on Washington Street
When the snow has turned from white to blue
Then maybe I will come back to you
Whistler's mother is a sister of mine
When the snow has turned from white to blue
Then maybe I will come back to you
Yes, maybe I'll come back
Could be I'll be back
Maybe I'll come back to you
*** "Over the Rainbow" Lyrics: ***
Music by Harold Arlen
Lyrics by E.Y. Harburg
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

Judy Davis was extraordinary in this movie. Garland had a complicated life, but her TV show is now considered a classic - she introduced young talents like Tony Bennett and Barbra Streisand. It's sad that Judy gave so much to the world, but was burned out and abused.

Her love for her children was indescribable! Ecpecially because of her own childhood. History often repeats itself but I think it was Frances Gumm, who needed that love as a child so badly, that she was determined to give her children what she didn't have. It certainly couldn't have been easy to be Judy Garland's children. Obviously, as we see in this movie, her addictions and mental stability effected them as well but all of them have expressed they wouldn't have wanted any other "Momma"

She was amazing! whenever I watch something Judy Garland was in ecpecially her old tv show (a shame that they canceled it!) I feel her energy! Judy Davis was amazing at capturing that. It would seem impossible to come close but I think she did that and more. I think it's quite something that Judy Graland lasted as long as she did. Somewhere deep inside was Frances Gumm but she had learned to play the part of the character her mother gave her very well! A famous force... Judy Garland!

Just for clarification: The Judy Garland Show ran from 1963/64, lasting two seasons, Judy Davis captured Garland's unique sardonic humor brilliantly.

To any fans with the edited version, which scene(s) from the film (deleted, extended, or otherwise) would you like to see here the most? I'd be more than happy to get a few more scenes up. My goal is to have all Judy fans be able to watch the complete version of this wonderful film in the best quality possible.

This is what was missing from the 2019 movie - no moments of Judy showing any strength or resolve.

@mvezza This is true; an extended VHS edition was released that included some new scenes, while other scenes from the original presentation were cut. The same is true for the other DVD releases and TV airings. Finally, this complete version has surfaced - nearly a decade after the film's premiere.

This a petty comment but The at 3:37 when Judy pours the liquor into Mark's glass was a prop gaffe. The bottle she had was a Ballvenie single malt scotch bottle. When I do drink, it's always Ballevenie. Scotch is brown not clear. I think Judy Davis could have had her make up like Judy wore it. Judy Garland kept using the technique, Dottie Ponedel created for Judy appeared in Meet Me In St. Louis. i.e. fuller lower lip & a wider space between brows & Judy's brows were more arched than Davis'

Please upload more! I love Judy and she was an AMAZING STAR and when the industry was done with her. They threw her away like some old rag. Shame on them..I know it's not supposed to be funny when she throws herself in the pool, but I laughed my butt off too. RIP Judy..

@OldHollywoodLove I really wish that I could provide that! :-) But the KZbin's "copyright policing" makes that wish unrealistic; it's legally impossible. The clips would most likely be removed due to music licensing complaints by record companies (Warner in particular) and/or Disney/ABC. However, It is currently available for purchase here: tinyurl[dot]com/JudyUncut Make sure you get the Dutch version (most of those listed will be shipped directly from the Netherlands).

remarkable performance. i do have to say that watching clips of her tv show, she did make one uncomfortable with her shaking and touching. it was like her shows were a benefit performance and she was the sympathetic guest of honor. during this time period, her best public appearance was on johnny carson's tonite show.
