Funny story! The last time I was in the stretching room, someone yelled “My leg!” exactly like the guy from SpongeBob after the crashing sound happened in the dark. When the lights came on, half of the crowd was laughing so hard. I love this ride so much!

Kevin R. One time, some teen yelled “you forgot to say dead center” because the cast member just said “please drag your bodies to the center of the room.” It was really awkward after cause it was just silent and everyone was looking at him.

This is definitely the best pov I’ve ever seen of the haunted mansion, the ghost host is clearly audible the whole time, the people in the stretching room weren’t too loud, the music loops were almost perfectly timed and the hatbox ghost is actually there and working for once, the ride didn’t stop or go too slow, & there weren’t people with their phones on full brightness in the séance/madam leota room Edit: alright nvm then lol

I think that's the popular opinion actually. As much as people love HMH, I don't think they would ever let Disney get rid of the regular Haunted Mansion. Most people really only like it at Christmastime. Now, personally I actually do prefer Haunted Mansion Holiday over regular Haunted Mansion... and I don't even like Nightmare Before Christmas. I think like the mansion feels a lot more fun with the score of HMH. If I could, I would take a mix of both with it being half regular and half holiday.

Unite Productions yeah, last time I went it was super dark. Like, darker than usual dark. That may just be because it was a sunny day and I usually go when it’s overcast, and my eyes weren’t adjusted yet, but it was NOT that bright.

The Spanish narration at 4:15 needs to go. Completely ruins the moment and is not needed. Go through safety in other languages outside the ride, don't break character while you're frigging on it like that. Glad they don't do this is Florida.

I’ve come to find that some rides have the Spanish translation and others don’t. If there is no translation simply for the sake of immersion, why would imagineers not think to do the same on the haunted mansion? Just a thought

okay, so I'm not completely against the "black widow bride", but I would like it to be more like the original corpse bride! Like if they redid the projection effect between dialog to become dead like the pirate on tom sawyer island as well as be covered in cobwebs and redo the ax to be the classic candle at first. Also, pop up heads could represent the severed heads of the previous grooms...

Probably being refurbished. Disney does that with a lot of their older rides. They remove some of the ensemble animatronics and then put them back after they're cleaned up

I think it's called the Pepper's ghost effect, you can look it up or watch Offhand Disney's video on how Disney tricks your mind, I think he included it there

They have he peppers ghost affect which is a reflection of the object and using a mirror, the real animatronic are directly below you in the ball room under the floor you are in

It's called the Dr Peppers host effect. They get a host (like from westworld) and it's something to do with Dr pepper, they probably cover it in Dr Pepper and because of the fizziness and....... mirror. That's how they do it i thik.

I remember I went to disneyland for the 1st time and went on this ride. But my step mom and me had no idea it was the hmh version so we were shocked that it was different than the original. My step mom was kinda bum because she wanted the orginal one. I liked it though I thought it was pretty wicked to see the Nightmare before xmas charactors in the ride.

I remember seeing the mansion on a casual walk through Disney with my family when I was like 4 or 5. I told my parents I wanted to check out what was inside there. The stretching room literally traumatized me for the rest of the day. I wasn’t that scared for the actual ride but that first step in that stretching room will stick with me forever

Matthew Heid- I believe they were taken out for remodeling. They usually do this to some animatronics instead of closing down the ride

Umm... why? It won't be the holidays anymore during February and march. The overlay wouldn't make sense to be there any longer. Plus the original haunted mansion is a classic and many people, including myself, love the holiday overlay, but are glad to see the haunted mansion back in its normal state
