HD 569 vs H6PRO | Winner?

Owner of a HD 569 for almost 2 years here! My review is: I previously only used generic headphones and the last one was the Redragon Zeus H510, so it was a NOTABLE change to move to the HD 569s. I really like them, they have a clear sound and are the most comfortable headphones I've had by far. The sound isn't harsh, almost NO one song or video has bothered me in the treble, it's a very pleasant headphones. But I have two problems with them. 1. Soundstage: it's small. In songs everything feels close to my ears and in games too. I would love a wider soundstage and imaging. 2. Bass: it has bass, it's there, but I would like it to have bass a little more present! As you can see, these "problems" really correspond to my tastes, not to the headphones. However, the advantage of having a reduced soundstage is that because you hear everything so close the footsteps of the enemies sound a little loud and that has helped me a lot in Valorant. But the imaging is not perfect, because it is ALMOST impossible to distinguish if an opponent is right behind or right in front of me (I don't know if this is the sound of the game or my headphones). On the other hand, the HD 569 is one of the best purchases I have ever made, I love them and above all I am fascinated by how comfortable they are. Sound is great, cable is great, microphone in the cable is great, everything great. Shortly after the first year, the pads were noticeably worn so I replaced them with nubuck ones from AliExpress and the sound have a bit more bass and the voices more delayed (the instruments sound a bit louder than the voices) but the overall sound signature changed very very little. Very good review Troy! I liked it a lot, I quite agree, except a little bit with the soundstage but let's not forget that everyone's ears are different! Good video :D

Have you tried the HD 560’s or the H6PRO from EPOS? Superior imaging goes to the 560’s, and everything else goes to the H6PRO, which does have excellent imaging.

Hello... I'm thinking about switching from my GSP 500 to the closed version (GSP 600/602). Now you might ask yourself, why not the successor (H6Pro)? I'm wondering if it's more of a deterioration because the frequency range of the H6Po is lower - GSP 600/602: 10 - 30000 H6Pro: 20 - 20000 - (Translated with DeepL, im a german guy and ma english is not so good)

Nice comparison. Have you ever tried the beyerdynamic DT 990 Edition with 250 ohms? With a decent soundcard such as the soundblasterx g6 it is a blast. Besides the immense soundstage and very precise imaging, it also has incredible good bass. I love them. I find them even better as the standard DT 990, which I also own. They should be the same headphones, internally, but after some weeks of usage, after the interior materials "wear in", it is a superior experience to enjoy content with the Edition. The Edition really are a lot of fun. You should try it out sometime. Keep up the good contant man!

Thank you for this video once again which once again allows you to see more clearly in order to choose your headphones. On the other hand, among my headphones, I have the H6 pro open and closed on an SB AE 5 plus sound card and I find that the version has a sound that has absolutely nothing to do with it, the high mids and the bass are screaming, harsh, poorly defined and confusing. Which makes its use over long sessions impossible because it is unbearable. However, I am well set at 28 ohm impedance and volume at 30. Which makes the sound scene catastrophic compared to the open version and compared to the HD 560s. Can you give me some advice? Sincerely.

I’m sorry but I have no advice to give here. The experience you’re describing I have not experienced. My love my H6PRO closed. It works great for me. I don’t use it with any amps, because it has only 28 ohms.

I remember trying the HD 569 and the soundstage was non-existent. It sounded very... mellow. A bit too much. It was comfortable but it didn't wow me.

For me, I was pleasantly surprised. Sound is subjective. No headset sound signature is for everyone.

I returned my Epos H3 pro hybrid and got the SteelSeries Arctis nova pro wired and now I don’t have the problem of it sounding like people are near me when they are not but the SteelSeries Arctis nova pro wired has no bass compared to the H3 pro hybrid and it really bothers me when listening to music with a lot of bass or playing bassi games like Cyberpunk 2077 because the H3 pro sounded so much better in those applications and I paid more money for the SteelSeries than the Epos. I am liking the game dac Gen 2 though. I used it with the Epos H3 pro hybrid and it got so loud I thought I was going to go def. I think I am going to keep the SteelSeries for the game dac Gen 2 so next time I get a headset I will already have a game dac that can boost the performance of headphones that are up to 120 ohms. I know that’s not shit because the cheapest dac amps can drive 300 ohm headphones but I would never buy a headset over 80 ohms. I am thinking my next headset will be the Beyerdynamic DT770 80 ohms

Just found out your channel, great work. I wanted to ask you a question. I am considering to buy a new headset with a microphone. My previous headset was a logitech g430 and they lasted around 6 years, so I will need a new pair. I found out the EPOS H6PRO, i like the closed one but i am seeing some concerns regarding the quality, which is not great and also the software. I found out a bundle with the GSX300 at 150 euros and i thinking about getting them. Do you think that they will be a good option for me, gaming and some music are my priority, or should i go with something else?

The H6PRO is an excellent headset - the best since 2021. Whomever told you the quality is poor doesn’t know what they’re talking about. I strongly recommend the bundle. You don’t need the amp because the H6PRO has low impedance, but it doesn’t hurt to have it. The EPOS software is for wireless EPOS headsets only, and I have no problems with it. If you watch the rest of my videos you will quickly see that I consider the H6PRO #1.
