Saruman failed, the Blue Wizards poofed, and Radagast became more concerned about the wilds. But Gandalf not only was resurrected, because he showed true heroism and sacrifice... against the Balrog of Morgoth, but also because he was always true to his task... never faltered. And then Aragorn not only has the honor of being his friend, but is crowded by an angel, or minor god... what ever the Maia are. He will see her dead and not only that, she will live long before he husband (elves still live very long even if mortal). Andrew Hill Cinema Sins is a channel dedicated to nitpicking. I mean, seriously. Have you seen the Back To The Future analysis? They don't do this seriously. I take all of their videos with a grain of salt. There are some truly bad films out there and they do dissect them properly, but a moderately faithful adaption of a book written fifty years ago, to excellent effect, isn't worth a video that is, quite literally, just a tongue-in-cheek scalpel test.

Having read the books at least once a year since we were teens, it was the inclusion of this minor detail toward the end of this incredible trilogy that moved us. When the credits ended and the house lights came on, I knew how Sam, Pippin, and Merry felt as they watched their friend walk towards the ship. I felt as if I, too, was being abandoned. There would be no more films. The quest was ended. Namarie

Anyone else notice when Legolas and all the Elves walk forward 2:12 one of those guards is like a foot taller than all of them? How big is that guy, he's huge!
