(HD) NEW glass 4th gen Ecodiscs at Friars Walk centre, Newport

This shopping centre was opened about a month ago, it's Newport's new trade booster. Kone supply the lifts there, and these glass lifts are outside the main shopping area near to Next. These go down to the eating area full of restaurants and 1 is the shopping floor. These are very nice 4th gen Ecodiscs, but sadly the left lift was broken. The doors are glass so you get a brilliant view of the Ecodisc motor up close. First time I ever got a view like that! These are great lifts, well done again Kone!

River Island is on 2 levels meaning it must have a lift, I'll check when I'm there.

I'm guessing a cheap Kleeman or possibly a Hi-Tec.

Are All The Lifts 4th Gen Ecodiscs?

All of the main lifts are 4th Generation Ecodiscs yes. However some shops have different lifts.

Probably left one hasn't even finished with the installation yet. Should have gone with Schindler 5500 but still nice.

I think it was just out of service (probably either for maintenance or teething problems), because in the opening day video, both lifts were in service.
