[HD] RapidBus Rundown: R6 and R7 RapidBus Routes. (Back to voiceovers!!!!)

Hello, and welcome back to the channel!
I finally have a decent mic to voice over videos!
This is the sixth of six videos on this channel where we do a review and rundown of each of the five RapidBus routes. This episode looks at the future R6 and R7, two of the many RapidBus routes to begin service in the next 2-3 years.
The R6 RapidBus will connect Scott Road Station to Newton Exchange in Surrey. It will compliment local route 319 service. It is scheduled for implementation in 2023.
Meanwhile. the R7 RapidBus will connect Richmond City Centre to an unspecified Expo Line Station (as of the time of posting).
*The other videos will be uploaded in random order, pending time constraints. A summary video will also be uploaded once we complete the series.*

ADDENNUM: Looks like the R6 has been pushed back to 2024! This is VERY likely due to the ongoing water main construction that has been delaying 319 runs royally.

I just watched the video which its good but... Will Newton have space as it looks crowed like u mentioned in other videos.

I agree that it's crowded - for context the 335 and the 341 were kicked out of the loop in summer 2020 to east along 72 Avenue. My belief is when they redid everything in 2012/2013, they assumed that the LRT was going to go ahead as planned and replace what would be today's R1. Could be wrong though.

Maybe they should have the R7 renamed to the 98 B-Line since it's terminus is at Richmond Centre (or R98) 😜

Thursday, January 4th, 2024 UPDATE… The R6 RapidBus has been opened and has had revenue service on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024. The R7 RapidBus has been mainly expected to service Richmond-Metrotown potentially replacing the 430. No Update On The R7 At Current Date Of Posting

I've heard some speculation that there could be a RapidBus service from Richmond to Metrotown which could be the unspecified Expo Line station you're referring to. But I could be wrong.

If they were to do that, they would need to fix up Knight Street. The last thing you need is a bunch of rapid buses stuck on Knight Street during peak rush hour.

In my honest opinion, an R7 replacing route 430 should only run between Bridgeport Station and Metrotown. This is because I've very often noticed almost all the overcrowding begins when customers board the eastbound Sweden Way stop, and then, in the reverse direction, a substantial amount of passengers alight at said intersection stop. The Canada Line and route 407 already do the job of providing north-south transit between Bridgeport and Brighouse, with route 407 already using Garden City Rd, and yet route 430 stops at almost all of the stops that route 407 does too. The 430-R7 would be oversupplying between Brighouse and Bridgeport, and stopping at many local service stops that would require unnecessary stop upgrades for branding purposes.
